Raffles Gateway Hotel Nadi

Was a little unsure on this one, but having read all the positive reviews decided to go for it. We were glad too, for many reasons: 1) you can walk from the airport w/out having to pay for a taxi, 2) their restaurant is stays open pretty late so we could have a decent meal at 9pm after our flight arrived, 3) their food is pretty good, 4) staff is friendly and upgraded us for no particular reason, 5) room was large and air-conditioned, although noise carries easily and we were kept up by the live music a bit longer than we would have liked. Overall we were happy and will be back again. thank you :)

We had a nine hour layover in Nadi. This hotel was great. It is an easy five minute walk from the airport. The rooms are clean and fairly nice. It has a nice pool,bar,and their food ws good. If you are looking for a little rest and a cold swim or beer this place will fit the bill.

Can't beat the price. Comfortable with good food. Cleaner than the other beachfront "Fiji experience" type places we stayed. Across the street from the airport so no worries about transportation and Fiji time.

We stayed at the hotel twice for one night, at the beginning and at the end of our Fiji trip. Hotel is right next to the small Nadi airport. There is a free hotel shuttle driving back and forth but it's even possible to walk to the hotel in a few minutes (from arrivals basically walk straight out of the airport gate and cross the street to the hotel). It's a basic, simple 3-star hotel and it's cheap. Greatest assets are the extremely friendly staff (even the wait staff is not pushy, unlike some resorts) and the surprisingly good breakfast and dinner - and cheap as well (e.g. continental breakfast at FJD 15). Check-in and check-out was quick and easy. Pool is basic but relaxing. Room is average. It's not big and beds were just ok. Old TV with so-so reception. Airco worked fine (you can adjust the direction, so it doesn't blow straight at the bed). Rooms are not cleaned well, many stains and many bugs around (dead and alive). We had to get rid of many bugs in the room on both nights. There was some construction going on at the back of the hotel.

Located across the street from the Nadi airport, Raffles Gateway is a great place to relax after the long trans-Pacific flight. The staff is outstanding, the rooms are well equipped, and the food at the restaurant is good. My only complaint was that the wireless that is advertised is not complementary. Instead it costs up to $F35/day for internet access. So if you are planning to get any work done during your stay, be sure to factor in the cost of internet access.

This was the second hotel we stayed at in Nadi and we were very pleased. There was a problem with the first room we were given. When we told the front desk, they moved us into a better room without charge within five minutes. The main swimming pool is amazing. The pictures do not do it justice - it's very large and well maintained. There is also a hot tub next to a smaller pool. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The television does not have satellite channels, but they play movies and Discovery channel videos on four in-house channels. My children were a little disappointed with no Cartoon Network - but the pool more than made up for it. The location is right across from the airport, but there aren't that many flights throughout the day, so there really isn't a noise problem. A bus stops right outside the hotel grounds and costs F$1.15 (about 70 US cents) to go into Nadi. When we go back to Fiji, we will definitely stay at Raffles as our first and last stop.

The hotel provided welcome respite in between flights. Friendly service, comfortable beds and my son couldn't get enough of the water slide!

Wanted a hotel close to the airport for an easy morning ride to make an early flight. Considering the hotel options available in the local area, it was a good choice for value, comfort and location.

Raffles has been upgraded since we last stayed there some years ago and were very impressed with the changes that have been made. the hotel's proximity to the Airport makes it an ideal choice for a Stopover.
