enjoyed it!

For the price it was great, they need to make some improvements in the game room, and get rid of obviously old chairs and equipment.

do not change money at the airport if possible. They short you quite a bit. Do it at the hotel, or better in the town where you will get the best exchange.

worse experience

Local beach is next door and you have no idea what you can see floating in the shallow water. Rodents all over the first floor rooms going in and out.

Family fun getaway

Convient hotel location. Good and affordable Internet services. Food is the biggest distraction. But the beach is beautiful.

OK

The Hotel was definitely nothing to compare with Punta Cana. But, the price of it was much cheaper as well. The only plus of this hotel is that is located about 20 min. from La Capital and it was close to everything. But otherwise the food, and the drinks were not good at all. I would not go again, I would prefer staying in a hotel that's not all inclusive and buy my food and drinks outside. Service was not bad at all.

MY FIRST TO BOCA CHICA

I was a little concerned after reading the reviews and all the things other people were saying about this hotel I told myself remember this is a non developed country if you want the Ritz Carlton and all the amenities pay $375.00 per night, you get what you pay for. My room was big did not watch TV because I was gone all the time at the beach on weekend they block off the street and party .I had a blast the food was good the drinks all the people breakfast on the water so what the French toast was not hot I was on vacation I am planning right now going back at the end of April cant wait.

Perfect Spring Break

This all-inclusive hotel is about 15 minutes from the main Santo Domingo airport and about 40 minutes from the city itself. On the south side of the island Hispaniola, the beach is sandy and the Caribbean Sea is calm and blue. Be Live Hamaca benefits from being sandwiched between the Presidential section, which is more exclusive and the Pelicano Restaurant, which is more expensive. As with resorts of this type, the main restaurant has an abundance of choice and never seemed to run out of options. The entertainment co-ordinators were enthusiastic without being pushy. One word of caution, when you walk to explore Boca Chica, be prepared to use the phrase, "No, gracias!" The motorbike riders are insistent and their resolve to pester continues if they know you are an English speaker. Once I had mastered this, I thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and the area. I took the cheap local bus to Santo Domingo a few times with no problems at all.

Nightlife tip: In Hotel

The on-site disco was great. I was able to watch the local experts dance bachata, merengue and salsa before attempting them myself. The music was a clever blend of typical latin dance tunes, modern latin music, such as Pitbull and "classic" disco.
