Enjoy the beach next to the city at this All Inclusive Resort. Be Live Experience Hamaca Garden is located just 10 minutes from Las Americas International Airport and 30 minutes from Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic's cosmopolitan capital city. Relax and enjoy our white sands and warm azure waters. Rooms are surrounded by a beautiful garden. The Be Live Experience Hamaca Garden is adorned with five pools, three for the adults and two specially designed for the children, and a Jacuzzi. The resort features 6 restaurants (5 A la carte, two with a surcharge) and 6 bars, serving 24 hours unlimited domestic and selected international cocktails and beverages. The highlight of Santo Domingo is its colonial district which boasts the Americas oldest cathedral, the Catedral Primada de America, and a vibrant nightlife of elegant clubs, bars discotheques and superb restaurants with the most diverse cuisine At Be Live Experience Hamaca Garden the full activities program includes aerobics, badminton, basketball, beach soccer, beach volleyball, mini-golf, tennis courts, games room, table games, pools, dance classes and aerobics. family reunion

Checking in takes a very long time. However, when it comes time to check-out they want you OUT immediately. You never get the chance to speak to a supervisor, you'll get the run-around no matter if you're in Hamaca Garden Beach or Suites.

Nice place for a vacation to the beach

It's a great place to go with a group of friends... We had a lot of fun there. The food was pretty good. The beach was nice but the view was just ok.

horrible experience

Our plane landed at 11am and we got to the hotel by 1130am but the hotel wouldnt let us check in until 3 pm, according to their policy. I think that policy should be changed because people come from all over the world with different situations and its an inconvience to them, example of that would be sweaty,tired, and just want an oppurtunity to get settled in before beginning what can be a great vacation. The hotel dont offer calls from the rooms unless its to another room or services that you may want. Now I understand that people go on vacation for different reasons and may want to escape from where they came from,but some may still want to call their family members without the hassle of going into the hotel lobby everytime to make a call. Its also an inconvience that you have to put a deposit down before you make that call in the lobby instead of just being billed at the end of your stay.The rooms are horrible, the best way to describe it would be a huge cell with a little decorations to make you forget that your just in a cell. No hot water, bad room service, not enough towels provided. I even heard that when putting in a complaint about this place the person was told by the supervisor that ' People dont complain they just come to get drunk". Thats not something you say to someone who put their trust into your hotel to give them a good experience,especially when paying money. That will explain why the service sucks because they dont put their all into giving people a great experience because people dont complain .....until now. I need a refund.

vacation

i went to this resort 5 years ago and it was so much different the rooms now are the worst you can imagine hotel all around is derty the view from most of the rooms was seein people working in other rooms the drinks not good the only good thing was the food other then that I wouldn't comeback to that place

Good hotel for what you pay

The hotel was good, I love the fact that is on the water so you get it all. Pool, beach, food, everything was good. Continental breakfast is the best of all. Just make sure you d o ever thing you have to before checking out. Our flight didn't leave until 7pm so we ask to stay extra in the facilities to enjoy the beach and they said that was no problem. We left our luggage in the storage by the service desk and head to the beach. When we came to change they gave us a "courtesy room" to get ready and it was the worst place I have ever been to. The room seem to be under construction, there was no furniture, no towels, to toilet paper no nothing the bathroom was clogged it was awful. We try to call and there was no phone or nothing it was a real bummer. The supervisor told me they sent me there by accident but it was an accident that shouldn't have happen, I'll think about it twice before going back here

check in and beach/pool chairs

check in was at 3pm. was asked to wait a bit longer. room was not ready, asked to speak with a higher person and express my concerns. Management listened to my complaints and corrected the problem. the room I received was much better. A lot of the beach/pool chairs were in dis-repair.

I WOULD NEVER GO AGAIN!

Whatever you do, please spend the extra cash and do not book this hotel. I was there with my boyfriend for 5 days and we didn't have any hot water. Not even warm water coming from the shower, and we had barely a trickle of water in our sink faucet. Each day and night we were greeted by swarms of mosquitos and flies that ate us alive because the cleaning lady would leave the door open when she "cleaned". The bedroom was...dirty and falling apart. Our sheets never looked or smelled clean. We had an extra "guest" who scattered about our room. It was a lizard. There were stray cats all over the property and if you go here I hope you like bats, because they're everywhere. Nothing was plugged in and when we did plug things in there were continuous power outages. The food (if you can call it that) was barely edible as there were swarms of flies on it every day. The hotel says wifi is included in your stay. What they actually mean is yes, THEY have wifi but if you want to use it it costs money. There are unlimited drinks (think below rail). The only saving grace is we met a lot of nice people who were in the exact same situation and trying to make the best of a horrible experience. Whatever you do, don't go. When we complained about certain things we were told by management that "It's your fault you booked the hotel. Go somewhere else" and they called hotel security to watch us have the conversation as if we were a threat. The other staff that wasn't management were very nice and even they commented that they hear all the time how bad the property is. We will never go back.
