Good stay but the timeshare harassment ruin most of it!

We got there on a Thursday, our first trip .was greeted by an front desk clerk by the name of yves he was so nice at first and even offered to pick us up and take us for breakfast the next morning. Big mistake!!! He proceeded to explain to us that we should go to a 90 minute class but never admitted that it was for a time share . Luckily we figured it on our own and refused . he kept pushing ,showing up everywhere we went . We did not sign anything and he got mad and never bothered us again. Other than him forcing us to do this our trip was great . Two restaurants that I highly recommend is the mole and the grill . Our waiter joaquim he was fantastic he took care of us and the staff is friendly and great ! Great hotel but will never go back there .

Good Bang for your Buck

Overall great vacation. Beautiful beach, nice hotel grounds, food was as expected for an all-inclusive. Biggest tip, make reservations for the different specialty restaurants when you get to the hotel because the food at the buffet is the same everyday. Our favorite was The Grill, steak restaurant. If you are expecting to have the entertainment/animation team cheer up the hotel or organize beach activities/entertainment, this is not the right hotel. This area was seriously lacking. Other surrounding hotels had great engaging beach entertainment, but this hotel does not. More a place to relax. Make sure you understand which room you are reserving online because our room was not what we expected and understood when booking. We had originally booked the junior suite and when got our room at the hotel it was not as nice as the one we thought we were getting based on the hotel pictures. Same thing happens with the pool, they show you the pool for the reserve and you will not be allowed there unless you pay MORE $$. If you expect to have drinks brought to you on the beach, you must have the royal services package; otherwise, get ready to get up and get your own. ALSO, the $1500 hotel credit that you receive to use at the hotel is a bit complicated. Its really not a credit, but more of a coupon packet that they give you at the hotel to use towards certain things. For example, a massage discount, money off of a room upgrade, and vouchers for a nicer buffet at the reserve. You will receive an email once you book to talk to the on-site representative from the "sister" company VIP but this is worthless. When you have a problem, they tell you to go online and talk to the company website chat people online. No reason for her to be there other than to up-sell you on offsite adventures. Overall, great place, but the problem was on the lack of info from the site at time of booking and then at the hotel the lack of desire to solve and fix issues.

Amazing vacation!!!

Once you arrive the first thing you see is the beautiful lobby. The reception desk is very helpful with explaining everything and showing you around the resort which is a bit big. There are also golf carts that's take you around the resort for those who do not prefer to walk. With the many activities that are offered you address always busy. My husband and I swam with stingrays and sharks, parasailed, scuba dived, jet skied among many other activities. The resort also offers live music every evening of you like to dance followed by a show at the theater. The only down side we found is that the food is a bit hit or miss at the buffet. Also there are other restaurants that you can go to that are also included but you have to make a reservation as soon as you get there because they are usually full. Make sure you go to Fuego the good there is delicious! Overall it was a vacation too always remember. Don't forget your sunscreen you'll need it.

Paradise

This is my husband and I first time having a vacation together and we couldn't of picked a better place to spend it on. The staff is great, the restaurants are good, the rooms are spacious, and the scenery is unbelievable. Absolute Paradise.

Amazing Hotel and Even Better Customer Service

My husband and I just returned from Paradisus where we stayed from July 28-August 4 for his 26th birthday and our 2 years wedding anniversary. It was amazing! They are very big on "eco-friendly" so don't go killing any trees or wildlife, just take in the serene and tranquil surroundings - it is such a change from the Manhattan life that we are used to. My husband enjoyed the beach to the point of not wanting to leave, which almost drove me insane. The staff is what really makes this place...everyone was very polite and helpful, especially the Guest Services Manager, Nathaniel Perez. He made sure all my requests were made prior to our arrival and even upgraded our room to a Royal Suite right on the beach and booked our dinner reservations at night (PS...Sakura and Qui were two of the best restaurants). As it turns out, the bed was somewhat hard, but I have a chronic back condition and the bed actually helped my back, and my husband slept like a log. The only thing I can make mention of is that some dishes were highly salty and the beach had a TON of seaweed, but that would be me nit picking. All in all we enjoyed it and felt like royalty. We would definitely LOVE to visit again, and i advise people to do the excursions...they are awesome...we went Snuba diving and once i got past the hyperventilating, it was one of the greatest experiences ever.
