Paradisus Punta Cana Resort - All Inclusive

My husband and I just returned from Paradisus where we stayed from July 28-August 4 for his 26th birthday and our 2 years wedding anniversary. It was amazing! They are very big on "eco-friendly" so don't go killing any trees or wildlife, just take in the serene and tranquil surroundings - it is such a change from the Manhattan life that we are used to. My husband enjoyed the beach to the point of not wanting to leave, which almost drove me insane. The staff is what really makes this place...everyone was very polite and helpful, especially the Guest Services Manager, Nathaniel Perez. He made sure all my requests were made prior to our arrival and even upgraded our room to a Royal Suite right on the beach and booked our dinner reservations at night (PS...Sakura and Qui were two of the best restaurants). As it turns out, the bed was somewhat hard, but I have a chronic back condition and the bed actually helped my back, and my husband slept like a log. The only thing I can make mention of is that some dishes were highly salty and the beach had a TON of seaweed, but that would be me nit picking. All in all we enjoyed it and felt like royalty. We would definitely LOVE to visit again, and i advise people to do the excursions...they are awesome...we went Snuba diving and once i got past the hyperventilating, it was one of the greatest experiences ever.

This resort is exacly what they say.The best deal you can get in all inclusive resorts.The food is the best,you have a lot of restaurants to choose.The staff is amazing.Go outside the resort not by yourself,they sell outside activities packages,thats the best way to see the outside.

The Staff was great. The Beach was gorgeous, the Restaurants were good... Fantastic

The resort is beautiful and the whole staff was amazing! The only issue was the food for dinner wasn't that great. Also as a side note, everything is kind of far away from each other (although they do have a trams running throughout the day), but we liked the exercise. All in all its a good resort, you just need an open mind about the food.

The service wasn't that good. The AC wasn't good anywhere on the hotel. It was extremely hot. The food wasn't good at all. The place was pretty though.

My husband and I went to this resort to celebrate my 30th birthday. We stayed for 5 days. I was a little torn at first about booking this resort because I didn't want one with a bunch of kids running around. So I considered a few adults only resorts instead. Finally we decided on this hotel because of the amenties... Boy and I glad we did!! It was BEAUTIFUL!!! The staff was so amazing. Everyone smiles and speaks when they see you. Everyone was always smiling and SO nice. (But hey, what's there to be grumpy about when you are surrounded by such beauty?) Of course like everyone, I read the reviews first, and some were scarring me, but I'm glad I was able to have my own experience. First the rooms: we had the royal suite and it was amazing. When we came to our room, there was pink and white balloons on our door and throughout the room (for my bday). SO nice and thoughtful. Also there were fresh orchids on the counters and sink. What a nice touch. The room was CLEAN with plenty of fresh towels and bottled water. The shower was nice. Second: The beach!! We were very lucky and our room was right near the gazebo, which is right off of the beach. For me, that's a huge thing, while on vacation, not having to walk for miles just to go to the beach. It was right there. And it was never crowded. There were tons of people at this resort, yet we always managed to feel in our own world. Plenty of chairs to lay out in. Plenty of room in the water to never feel crowded. We've been to other resorts where I haven't wanted to get into the water or the pool due to over crowding... NOT a problem here. Oh, that leads me to the AMAZING pool!! They should call this a lazy river. That's what it reminded me of. It was so large I never actually saw all of it! There were kids in the pool, but because there was so much space we never got "splashed" or bothered by kids. The swim up bar...AWESOME! Also there were plenty of FREE activities. Snorkling, catamaran, scuba diving, water bikes all free. There are some you can pay extra for like parasailing, but we didn't need to. Maybe if we would have stayed longer. But we did go out on the catamaran! Third: Food. The food was great. There were lots to choose from. I had a few things I didn't care for... but that is personal preference, not the resort. I read reviews and people were complaining about the food. You have to think about it... this is another country. It's not going to make burgers the way your favorite burger joint does... If you are open and accepting of that... you'll be fine. OH, and we NEVER GOT SICK! I packed pepto just to be safe and it's still in the box. The resort tells you at check in, dont' drink the water. In fact, I think they told us at the airport while taking the shuttle to the resort. There is plenty of bottled water... no reason to ever get sick. The ice from the bars are filtered so no worries there... Only one resturant requires a reservation Sakura, GO! It was really cool and the food was the BEST at the whole resort. Finally... THE BARS! Weather you are a drinker or not.. that is the place to be! At night the lobby turns into an entire night life. Dancing, music, shows, fun fun fun! The guys at the bar in the lobby (Kelvin) are super awesome! They laughed, danced, sang, and really brought the atmosphere to life. And all of that is not even mentioning the actual CLUB, and CASINO. I also got a body scrub at the Spa... amazing! Overall... we LOVED LOVED LOVED it and would definitely go back!

We selected you undre false information about the resort. They discriminate with the standard guest, unless you pay for an upgrade.We spend around 2 or 3 hours for dinner in line,while others will be seated as soon as they arrived.The facilities are old and lack maintenance.the air/cond. just to 78 degrees.Just the landscaping is 5 stars.We wont recommend you as agent or the resort.

The place and hotel were beautiful phisically. I went in summer and it was way too hot. The worst part is that the AC didn't work well anywhere so it was hot in the room and even the restaurants. Practically you're sweating all the time. The food wasn't good and I'm latin so I'm used to their type of food. The service wasn't that good either. I was expecting much much much more from a 5 star hotel and more from a Paradisus Hotel, specially since we payed so much for the stay. Not even the entretainment shows they gave at night were good enought really for a 5 star hotel. The hotel is not worth the money they're charging. I wouldn't go back, maybe to the D. Republic, but definitely NOT to this hotel.

I wouldnt go back to be honest, got harassed by Leonardo every day about a timeshare presentation I`ve had better food in jail

Great facilities, nice food, and beautiful beach. Had a great time. A tip: do not let the restaurant concierge guys sit you and tell you about their time share...a total waste of time...
