Excellence Punta Cana Luxury Adults Only - All Inclusive

I loved the Excellence. The only bad thing I can say is that the drive to and from the airport was long and bumpy. The bed was a little hard, but we got used to it. I liked the Asian and Mexican restaurants the best, although they were all good. Small casino, but a lot of fun. Casino is open from 7:00pm-3:00am. The pools are unbeleivable...they wind through most of the resort. Great show every night in the lobby area. The beach is beautiful, but the water is rough and the sand is thick...hard to walk in. The staff is friendly, but they don't speak much English...learn some Spanish basics before you go! Take lots of $1.00 bills with you...they come in handy! The more you hand out, the nicer they get. The weather was fabulous, sunny everyday and breezy! I am ready to go back already.

This was the worst service that i have ever had at a hotel..We were turned away on two seperate evenings and were unable to eat due to a completly incompetent staff and management. Are bed had some type of biting ants...the jacuzzi tub for the resort only worked a third of the time...no one spoke more than a few words of english..and the food all tasted the same which was horrible....dont go to this resort !! !!

I am reluctant to write this review because it was not a crowded hotel and I would love for it to remain that way when I return. The staff were the friendliest I have ever encountered. The food was excellent for an all inclusive resort. Try the chateaubriand in the French themed restaurant. It was excellent. The hotel was the best I have ever been too. My girlfriend and I are considering returning for our wedding. Tropical Storm Olga swept through while we were there unexpectedly for a day. The hotel didn't miss a beat by providing indoor entertainment for the day to keep everyone occupied. The grounds are beautiful and meticulously kept. I would recommend this place to any couple, but would advise against it to singles. It is definitely a couples place. The ride to the hotel was bumpy and scary, but once again ? not the hotel's fault. Overall trip I would give 4 out of 5. Solely the hotel, I would give 6 out of 5. Highly recommended!

The hotel and staff were incredible. Very friendly and Excellent Service. The only thing we were not satisfied was with mattress, it was a bit uncomfortable. Everything else was extrordinary.

There isn't enough space to say it all, but this hotel is absolutely amazing. there was nothing to complain about. the grounds are large enough that after a week i still hadn't explored everything. the food was remarkable - i was surprised. the upgrade to excellence club was well worth the money. the staff bent over backwards with a smile to grant my every wish. the beach was immaculate. it is a wonderland. after a week i am hungry to return and finish exploring the hotel. be aware that the drive from the airport is about an hour, and there is nothing outside the hotel grounds to do unless you take an excursion.

Excellence is worth every penny. The staff is the difference. The resort is small enough that everyone knows your name. The food is very good and if you have ever been to an all inclusive, you will love the walk in no reservation restaurants. Our friends just got married at the resort and the backdrop for it was unbelievable. I would highly suggest running off to this resort. Everyone complains that the beach is too rough, we like the waves when we swim. The pool is very quaint, and the resort itself is very quiet. This is an adult resort for a reason, you get what you pay for.

Having been to Excellence Riviera Maya in 2005 we were anxious to see how this resort was in comparison. All in all, it was a wonderful trip. The Excellence Club was worth the couple extra dollars we spent, to expediate check-in and check-out, and they really did go the extra mile to help you with whatever you needed. In comparision to the resort in Riviera Maya, the biggest disappointment was the bathroom...nowhere near the size of what we were expecting. The food was good, we ate at all the restaurants but one. Room service on the other hand was not so great (they didn't bring half the items we ordered). The grounds are extremely well kept. The staff is among the friendliest group of people we've ever met. Overall, it was a wonderful trip!

this hotel should be couples only not adults only. it was the worst vacation i ever had.

The Excellence was just that. Perfect in every way. The staff was the best. The was fine dining in every restaurant. Room service was always a very short wait and plenty of extras were added on to anticipate our wants and needs. Will definitely go back.

I stayed at Excellence for one week and loved every day of it. The beach is nice, the pool is cool,the shows are great, the food is good, and the drinks are excellent. I didnt want to come back. They treat you like a king. 7days wasnt enough. Remember to bring single to tip. I recommend the helicopter ride to the resort, an experience you'll never forget.
