Barcelo Dominican Beach - All Inclusive

It was a wonderful experience the beach was wonderful the personal very friendly, we had a very pleasant time. The shows were very funny and hilarious. We like the food and the services, the Mexican restaurant Pepito's was my favorite restaurant.

The hotel rooms were very clean, no bugs, great service, but the lighting was very dim. The rooms did not get cleaned until about 2:30PM but that was fine. The food was very good it includes buffets and 5 different theme resturants, I felt the buffets were actually better than the resturants. There are not many activities to do at the resort but its very easy to find outside activities to explore I would reccomend the boogies and scuba diving. The servers were very friendly. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our stay there would definately recommend it, god for families and couples. The beach is beautiful the pools are a good size, one of the pools has a nice swim up bar.

i read the reviews the hotel had before booking, and i was aware that it was not going to be the best place for the price but after my trip i feel that i paid too much for what i got. 1.distance from airport fair, about 25 min. 2.the hotel is located around empty houses, and hotels, so when you walk on the beach you only see abandoned and dirty spots. 3. the hotel beach needs too much improvement, is not a flat surface, so you have to always look how and where to go down so you don fall. 4. the worst part was our room. the room had so much humidity that everything in the room had a smell. including the bed and sheets, which made it very bad to sleep. the second day, the toilet had stuck and it was only until the next day that they fixed it. we requested to be change to another room, which they did but with little improvement. 3. food was ok, like every other place where is all inclusive. The hotel says that has like 6 restaurants i believe, but every time we went to make a reservation not all the restaurants were available, the most they had three to choose from, 4. the hotel itself is nice, is big, has a lot of trees around that makes it looks nice. bottom line: i wont go back to this hotel.

My first experience in Punta Cana, and I most say I was pleased with absolutely everything.

I did a couple of tours which was great laid out on the beach the wealther was perfect. Food was great I ate and drank all day and night. This had to be one of my favorate trips and I went alone and still had a great time.. Great place to go lots of other single people ready to miggle and have fun.

The hotel was really nice. The staff was great even that they dont know alot of english but onestly it republic dominican they speak spanish so ya. the beach beautiful great activities lead by [...] good laughAt night there are show really good and alot of work put in.on satrday theres a beach party they put on spanish songs so if you dont like it get use to it. For dinner i would recomened italian really goodbut other wise the buffet was also good every night a diffrent theme diffrent region Most defenetly will go back there this year :)

This hotel needs refurbishing. I have stayed at other Barcelo resorts, and this one is down at the heels.....

THIS WAS OUR THIRD TIME VISITING PUNTA CANA - THIS WAS THE MOST DISAPPOINTING OF THE 3 RESORTS WE HAVE STAYED AT. STAFF WAS NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL, YOU WOULD BE SURPRISED AT WHAT A DIFFERENCE IT MAKES. PROPERTY NEEDS SOME TLC. BEACH WAS ERODED. FOOD - SO -SO

We went with 10 people and all have very similar opinions. It was a seven night stay and wished it would have been longer. We met a lot of great people. We only left the resort once and went on a safari tour on a huge convoy. It was a lot of fun and a great way to see the jungle, city, and the way of life here. I am a fequent traveler and have been to may places and never expect a 5 star unless paying for it. The negative reviews did not bother me/us. Vacation is what you make it. If you have high expectations and expect 5 stars don't come here. Expect to pay well over $2k/ person for a few days for 5 stars. We found this resort and 8 others bought into us saying not to worry about these negative reviews and we were right! This is a 3rd world country and a 2-3 star resort so expect some things not to be in tip top shape. If you have never been outside of the States than keep in mind you are in another courntry, its a totally different culture. Things don't happy very fast here so you may have to wait a little more time getting things. Things happen at "island" time. -LIked all restaurants- reserve these before. may have to do this early a.m. -have to go about a mile out to snorkel. a local near the market can set this up. We only paid $15 to do it -Friendly staff -tip. it will go along way -Bring you own thermos. Much better especially if you are a drinker - Beach was great but the water may not be for everyone. large waves and undertow. many people did not swim. - Grounds are very well maintained - Pools very nice. -Enough space where you won't feel crowded -Casino seemed to be a rip-off -Bring a flot for the pool -Very nice fitness room Have fun
