Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe - All Inclusive

This was a beautiful resort the environment and food were very good. The only downside would be there was no free wireless but who needs wireless when your on vacation!!! Sit back and enjoy the beauty and the climate!

My husband lost his mobile phone at Hotel; we need to moved to another room due to much noise at early morning hours. In general terms the view and Hotel Facilities are insuperable!!!

I arrived at the Resort on a Friday and was pleasantly surprised!. Barceló Bavaro Palace Resort was simply beautiful! The Resort appeared to be newly built but I later found that is over 2 decades old. There is so much to do or you can simply spend time at one of the 9 pools or on the beach which is walking distance from your room. We also toured other resorts which was lots of fun too. The hotel was not kind with the towels so you will have to let them know to bring you fresh towels and not just one when there’s more than one person in the room. We had to call them every day to bring us face towels and they would not give use a clean towel unless we gave them the dirty one (That was really annoying because we showered at least twice a day). The food at the buffet which is a part of the all inclusive package was not very good. They had a large variety of food but nothing appeased me. I enjoyed going to the dine in restaurant where you have to make reservations (Kyoto, Halo (no reservation needed but good food)). The alcohol there is not premium and it has a slight after taste (not good at all)!. While we were there we enjoyed the U-Spa, Disco, & site seeing. Over all I would defiantly return and dine at the restaurant that I know that has good food.

My husband, our 5 and 3 year old and I had a wonderful experience at this hotel! The amenities are excellent, plenty to do for kids and if you are up for a kid free dinner, they provide child care at the Kids Club, our kids loved it! The beach is so nice, the sand, the water is so nice, calm enough for young children! The food was great as well, the buffet was average, the evening restaurants were good, we loved the Italian one the best, Japanese wasn't as great. The stuff was friendly enough, some spoke good English, others not that good, but overall we were able to get by, no issues with check-in or anything also. Our room was cleaned daily, it could of been done more thoroughly, the tip didn't improve it much. We booked a basic room and regretted it later, it would of been nice to have the kids in a separate area. We tried to upgrade, but after they hang up on us twice, we decided not to waste any time on it and just enjoy the beach, the pool, the restaurants and everything also that the hotel had to offer. We all were certain we would love to come back!

RESORT CREDITS WERE USELESS AND DID NOT COVER ANYTHING LISTED!!!!!If you book this resort after reading the reviews, you will get what you pay for!!! Beautiful resort grounds but rooms are horrible mostly have some form or decay or mold. NON-speaking staff will give you wrong directions, wrong drinks and wrong food. WEATHER WAS HOT, HAD TO WAIT FOR TRAM WHICH RAN EVERY 30MIN TO FAR TO WALK TO LOBBY!!!

Stuff is lazy and slow. Pillows stank sweat. No body lotion provided.

We arrived at this gorgeous hotel we were immediately handed a cocktail and shown to the desk to sign in.Tthe room we were given had 2 full size beds, while I would have preferred a queen sized bed, we accepted the room. As it turns out, this was the only disappointment of the whole trip, and the beds were very comfortable. Our room was on the Golf Side of the resort, on the beautiful 9th hole. There were lounge chairs on the patio for quiet relaxing. There was a little bit of a walk to the main part of the resort where the stores and restaurants were, but it was through beautifully landscaped walkways. The food in both of the the Buffet areas was good, plentiful, and we had many different choices. There is also a Japanese Restaurant where we had a Teppanyaki style dinner that was fabulous. We also had dinner at a Spanish Restaurant (I didn't care for the bottle of wine we bought, but oh well!# the food was great, we ate at the Seafood Restaurant where the food was wonderful. We walked for what seemed like miles on the picturesque beach then slipped into the pool and had cocktails at the swim-up bar. We took a day trip by bus and catamaran to an island for lunch and then went for a dip in the Blue Lagoon #made famous by Brooke Shields way back in the 70's). Our vacation at Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe was exceptional and we plan to return next year! It would be nice if the resort would have wireless throughout with out the expensive upcharge so at least we could use our laptops, ipads etc.

I read allot of reviews on this property that raved about how great it was and some that were not so enthusiastic so I was a skeptical going into it. When we got there we were greated warmly in the Club Premium Lounge (Highly recomend this upgrade), We were shown to our room immediately and it was as described to the T. The resort was extremely clean and being cleaned at all times, the wait staff and room service were top notch and friendly, the pools were clean and well maintained, and the restraunts (excluding buffet) were wonderful. I highly recommend the La Comedie retraunt and the Chatuebriand, it was the best I've every had. All in all this is the best resort I've stayed at in my Caribbean travels which have included Cancun, Cozumel, Puerto Rico, and Jamaica. I will be back for sure.

my second stay at this hotel.. this time for my honeymoon.. i have zero complaint... great food, spirits, and entertainment. i highly recommend!

We spent a great day, the hotel amenities and the location are excellent, the best beach and very clean, the staff very friendly and helpful at all times and the food spectacular. Was our first experience of all inclusive and we return next year.
