Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe - All Inclusive

The hotel itself is very good. Beach and pools are fantastic. You always can find a bench along the beach or beside the pools. Swimming-up bar is very nice. Room is big enough for 2 of us. Basically, the room is clean and comfortable. A/C works very well. Ask for more towels or bottles of water, sent within reasonable time. Food is so so, just so so. Lots of choice in the buffet, but tastes are not good. Fine dinner is not better than buffet. Seafood is too old. Beef in Japanese restaurant is also very old. Steakhouse is ok. Italian restaurant is better than average. The best is Hoyo 19 in golf course area and you don't need reservation. The stuff is the worst part of this hotel. In restaurant, they don't serve you promptly, you have to call several times to bring their attention. The service is very slow in fine dinning restaurant. We have to wait 2 hours to finish a 3-course dinner. We did tip in every restaurant and every morning in the room. It didn't help a lot. Anyway, this is a good resort. It worth the money.

The best vacation that I have experienced in my life thus far! If you really want to get your money's worth, book any one of their suites; this will make you a "club premium" guest and hotel staff will treat you accordingly. The extra money is definitely worth it!

We thought the resort itself was a,axing! The pools were awesome and the the beach was amazing. Had a little trouble communicating with the staff. Our only disappoint was the food. The buffets were the same every day and the restaurant food was not appealing. At first I thought it was us, but the other people we ran into also said they were disappointed in the food. Overall a wonderful trip.

We arrived to the hotel and our room was not ready. We had to wait about an hour before it was ready. When I got into the room I was afraid the booked us in the wrong room.....it was amazing. There was a jacuzzi tub on our back porch. The people were extremely nice. The food was ok. The thing people have to understand is your in a DIFFERENT COUNTRY so some foods may not taste the same. My girlfriend found that out. The seafood was amazing. If you get the chance make a reservation at the French restaurant....it is the only one that cost additional, $20 per person, but it was by far the best food I have had in a long long. I time. We are already looking at booking another trip there in about 6 months. P.S. if you go there try to avoid AIRTRAN as your flight....by far the worst airline I have ever been on!!!!

We received an ocean view instead of ocean front and had to negotiate the ocean front. The night we were to have a romantic dinner on the pier was mistakenly scheduled for the wrong day. Seafood restaurant is horrible, both food and service, the service at Italian was bad as well. The Spanish, Mexican, French were all excellent. The best by far was the Chez Gourmet restaurant on the adults only part of the resort is superb, unequal to any of the others. The Spa services were good as well. There was a lot of language communication issues and errors on the part of the staff. But the asst mgr did a great job of compensating.

I don't typically do these, however I was discouraged prior to my trip because of many negative reviews online that I didn't read until after booking. Overall I encourage you to pay no attention to those extreme negative reviews... much of what is said is not true. We enjoyed our stay, the location is perfect, the resort is nice, and our room was clean. The staff was moderately friendly (some were extremely friendly and some were rude). Language was somewhat of a barrier and the room descriptions on this site aren't completely accurate. WIFI is NOT free unless you're club premium and all the food lacks flavor/quality. Despite the few things we would change, we would stay at this resort again.

We stayed at the Barcelo Puerto Vallarta for our first honeymoon and fell in love with the all inclusive vacation so for our second trip we decided to go with Barcelo again. The place was out of this world beautiful, we were worried abou the weather (weather.com said rain everyday) but it was sunny everyday of our vacation. Knowing Spanish is a plus, only the front desk clerks really understood English. Our light was broken on our balcony and when I reported it the lady had no idea what I was saying. It didnt get fixed until the last day. Their was a huge roach in our room ! The pool and beach were gorgous! The food was not very good. We all got sick from it at least once.

It was amazing experience! i love it. I am already planning to go back. I really like the service of all the staff. I added the services so that the Hotel VIP would pick me up. It was very reliable. The staff were amazing, the food was excellent. Barcelo Bavaro Place deluxe crew, VIP, and Cheap tickets. com Thank you so much for making my birthday unforgettable. I recommend cheap tickets and this hotel 100%. I grantee it!

Try to stay in building 4, 5, 6. If you want to buy something do this not in the hotel. The best way is to rent a car for 1 day. Do not rent a car in the hotel - price 2 times higher, than on the websites.

Bruno Richardson was the best asset to this Hotel. The Rooms were nice and clean. "All inclusive" apparently does NOT include some of the restaurants, Internet or any of the day trip excursions. Check-in and check-out were terribly slow and communication was often difficult (not because of the language, but because you felt like people weren't trying to help) -- with the great exception of Bruno, who was smiley, friendly and bent over backwards to be helpful and accommodating. The food (buffet, especially) sucked.
