Amazing tropical escape
My husband and I have traveled to Punta Cana for our fourth time with this vacation. Each time we have stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Beach resort. It is always an enjoyable experience and a pleasurable vacation. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone looking to travel to Punta Cana.

So So for price
most of staff excellent a few like Victor in Koyoto restaurant horrible we ordered sake with dinner and tried to pay with$100 bill so that we could tip waiter and chef instead of signing for Sake he tried to bully us into signing when that did`t work he made us wait 40 minutes and only when other staff intervened did we finally get change $ 50 bill other staff gave us change for tips

Great family friendly hotel
Loved the place, location and great staff. Not far from the airport. Food wasn't great but that's to be expected in all inclusive hotels.

Visit Saona Island. Its a long drive but its worth it, great scenery, great entertaining staff.

The hotel was huge! The pictures do not do it justice. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and offer something for everyone. My boyfriend and I spent our first vacation together here and had an amazing time. The ocean was warm and crystal clear and the beach stretches for 2 miles. Not to mention the multiple pools and bars you can choose from. The only complaint we had was that the food was NOT good. The only place we enjoyed was the Japanese restaurant but its not hard to screw up fried rice smothered in teriyaki sauce. The portions are small and not at all satisfying. Also, you can only choose from beer or wine, no licquor in the restaurants. And finally, we showed up to our frist dinner and my boyfriend was dressed in a collared shirt and nice khaki golfing shorts with nice leather sandals and they refused to let us in unless he was wearing close toed shoes and long pants. We were shocked. We understand the idea but this was ridiculous. He was dressed nice and they wouldn't let him in yet a man came in sweat pants and sneakers and was let in! Absolutely ridiculous. So if the food is not as important to you, I would reccomend this resort, just remember long pants!

Take a stroll to the end of the resort on the beach and you will find an open air market of locals selling handmade goods. Gorgeous jewelry, good cigars, etc. And they are so friendly!

was NOT told when booked that you can only eat at specialty restaurants 4 days out of 7.Had to eat at buffet.Food at buffet as well as restaurants was always cold.This is a health issue.Food should be hot. Most of the workers do not speak English.Very difficult to communicate with them.

Great Vacation
Hotel is well maintained and staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Food is average however the Japanese restaurant was good. Beach is pristine and the amenities are excellent for a wonderful all inclusive getaway.

19th hole golf restaurant is a hidden gem for good food. Located on the immaculate golf course.

Great vacation
The beach and rooms were great. The food was plentiful, but very bland. The staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the golf course, sailing, scuba diving.

Good Hotel in DR
It was a good experience overall, with lots of restaurants and a good room layout. However, my cell phone was stolen from my hotel room on my first day there so I'd recommend putting everything valuable in the safe.

I went to barcelo bavaro palace deluxe in january 2013 and I think the hotel is clean and employees are helpful but they seem not to be happy doing their job..... The food is good and the place is beautiful...
