Grand Hotel is one of Copenhagen's classic hotels, centrally located with the Tivoli Gardens, the Town Hall Square and the pedestrian street, Strget, as its neighbours. With the new railway connection to the airport, Grand Hotel is only 12 minutes drive from Copenhagen Airport and the resund Bridge. The beautiful building dates back to 1890. Back then it was originally run as a pension. It became one of Copenhagen's most exclusive hotels with a room rate at 3,50 DKK! Thus, if you are looking for a hotel of high quality, situated on beautiful and historic premises in the heart of Copenhagen, Grand Hotel is the place to go. Grand Hotel has 161 classically styled rooms, many with original, 19th-century features. Standard, superior, and executive rooms are available in single, twin, or double sizes, while suites are exclusively doubles. All rooms and suites feature en-suite bathrooms, flat-screen televisions with cable channels, free Wi-Fi, and desks. Room service is available. Breakfast can be bought for a cost, please contact hotel directly for specification. The hotel was completely and beautifully restored in 2005. Pets not allowed

Great for the price

I was worried when I saw some reviews stating that this hotel is very outdated and have small rooms, etc. For the price, it was really great. The room was small (we had small double room), but I've seen much smaller in other European hotels. It is indeed a very old and outdated hotel. There's a picture on the second floor showing that it was Nordic's most modern hotel (sometime in the 30th hahaha) and it does seem like it will need renovation sometime soon. But this was fine overall (again for the price). We had a room facing the courtyard, which was really quiet and nice. The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was really good. It was nice typical Danish food. However, it was a bit overly crowded at times. Location was very convenient. Right next to Tivoli and Central Station. Pretty close to most of tourist attraction. I would recommend this hotel overall.

Staring port for a 10 day Europen Cruise

Great location for touring Copenhagen -- near stroyet (walking shopping and dining mall), Tivoli Gardens and train station. But no AC - therefore with the windows open the street noise is extensive

Little hot room

The room was very small and extremely warm and there was no air conditioning. The bed was too soft. We are not heavy people but we sank to the middle of the bed.

Dining tip: In Hotel

The food in the hotel restaurant was very good and a reasonable price for Copenhagen which is a very expensive city.
