Le Square Phillips Hotel and Suites

I was pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious. So was the bathroom and the closet space. The gym was bigger than most of the hotels I've been to. While not hot breafast, the breakfast was adequate. Very close to bus stop and also metro wasn't too far. Staff doesn't seem to be too friendly, but they accommodated everything I asked for. The only minor complaint is the heater/AC and refrigerator made some noise, but nothing I can't live with. Overall, very happy I stayed there and definitely will stay again.

This hotel provides rooms with a kitchenette (hob, fridge and all kitchen utensils included) which is great. The hotel has really friendly staff and I found the room to be very comfortable. the Wifi and breakfast (toast, cereal, yoghurt and coffee) are free - which is not always the case in Montreal. the only negative i can think of is that there is no bodywash provided - only soap bars. would definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our stay and found everything wonderful. There was not one thing we could have asked for better. I see some people are not satisfied with the breakfast, but for a Continental breakfast, there is coffee, various juices, hot chocolate, cereal, bagels, muffins, croissants , fruit, waffles, a toaster for heating them up, and all the condiments you would want on them. We were very satisfied, and if you want eggs, there is a Tim Horton just steps from the front door. The room was great, very clean, complete kitchen, micro, fridge, stove, oven, and except for paper goods, most anything you would need to cook. We visited the pool and health club on the roof and there is also an outdoor balcony there with a great view ! We were able to easily walk to Old Montreal, it is only blocks away. There are plenty of food options nearby, an IGA food market 4 blocks away if you want to stock your kitchen and the business center was top notch for printing our boarding passes home. We were in town to visit the US Consulate one block away, and this was just perfect. What else can I say ? This is the first review I have ever made that had no negatives for me.

We stayed here for Spring Break 2013. The location is perfect! The staff, friendly and the room was spacious. The only blip was that they didn't read the request for an extra bed and put us in the wrong room (too small) but soon rectified it. Ensure they read whatever comments you add to the 'comments' section when you book!!!

My first impression was that he hotel lacks acertain charm or refinement, but bty day two I started appreciating it;s many pluses. The location is great as it is central to shopping, restaurants, and the rail station. It is also within walking disatnce of Vieux Montreal and other great Montereal neighborhoods. The bed was very, very firm which is not my preference. Howevere, the room was spotless, spacious and filled with many amenities. If they charm up the place just a bit with fresher bathrooms, and a nicer entry/lobby I would give it a 4.25! Overall great value!

Walking distance to many things and cab-distance to the rest. Nicely appointed room with everything we needed. Very friendly & helpful staff.

For a first time Canada visitor, this was a very excellent start, near to the meusems and shopping. Very happy!

Ideal location to see Montreal. Easy access to the Metro and Buses. We did a one day tour of the city then went back using the Metro system to spend more time at key locations. Spent one whole day at the Olympic Park, Biodome and the Botanical Gardens. Really beautiful. Breakfast every morning at the Hotel made it easy to get going early. Food was great. The staff went out of their way to help us find tours and get around the city.

Excellent hotel for families in the heart of montreal. Minutes away from st. catherine and old montreal. Rooms were spacious and great for families with kids. Overall, I recommend this hotel.

Location was Amazing, and the rooftop terrace, with the gym and pool was by far one of my favorite experiences at any hotel. The view was spectacular! Valets were excellent, helpful, and the front desk staff made me feel very welcome. I would love to stay here again when I come back to this wonderful city.
