Perfect location/comfortable stay

Went to Montreal for the weekend and this was the perfect place to stay. Right across from Contemporary Art Museum and walking distance to Old Montreal, Mont Royal Park, Saint Catherine Street, and the Metro. Front desk and restaurant staff (breakfast) were very friendly. Rooms are basic, but clean. I would definitely stay here again. My only complaints: 1) although rest of room looked clean, the shower had a used bar of soap in it from a prior guest (there was a fresh bar of soap along with fresh shampoo, etc. on counter and tub looked clean so clearly housekeeping just missed the old soap, but kinda grossed me out) (2) I was unable to get a connecting room to a friend who was traveling with me (though they were able to get us a room on the same floor): (3) the room I booked included free wifi and breakfast and a bottle of water, but I had to call back down to desk to inquire about free wifi and breakfast (would have been nice if they had explained the logistics to me at check-in) and there was no bottle of water in my room.

Excellent Hotel and staff

Perfect Hotel in an unbeatable location. Excellent facilties and staff. They have a beautiful terrace overlooking Place de arts and Spectacles de festivals. Hotel bar is also very nice... Buy some beverages and snacks at the IGA located at the downstairs mall and hang out on the terrace one night

Hyatt Regency Delivers

We stayed at the Hyatt this past weekend and really enjoyed out visit. The concierge was incredibly helpful upon check-in... the location was spot-on for a light festival, and our commute to the Belle Centre was painless. I'd stay here and again, and recommend this hotel.

Being remodeled but in right place

The hotel is being remodeled. However, it is in the right place (at St. Catherine, Montreal's most commercial street) and with the right price (paid 100 USD per night for a great room).

Winter Vacation

The location was completely perfect. We were able to get to the Museum of Contemporary Art, a theater, a shopping mall, a grocery store and the metro with just a few steps down the underground passageways (it was -16 degrees C outside!) There was no full restaurant in the hotel (just a bar, breakfast, and lunch), but there is a little food court and two restaurants in the mall downstairs. We bundled up and walked down to Old Town and The Chinese Quarter. We also took the metro to the Latin Quarter - great food and friendly people. Lastly, we headed up to the Parc Mont Royal - great snow fun (ice skating, sleding), and fabulous warm mulled spice red wine. We didn't really do any shopping, but it was Boxing week so everything was on sale. Perfect post-Christmas vacation!
