the overall experience was ok.one of the front desk person was rude,but the excellence of rest of the staff covered it all.The location is perfect as everything is walkable distance.

Hotel Le Roberval
Very comfortable bed and not a bad breakfast (Try the yogurt!). Great for a family or someone staying a few days or more as there is a kitchen in the rooms.

Great Budget Hotel n Downtown/Old Montreal
Hotel Le Roberval is a great little hotel that is cheap, clean, has a great location, and provided all you need for a weekend (or longer) in Montreal! We had free wifi, friendly service at all times, the room has a fridge. They offered free breakfast which was very minimalist, bagels, muffins, pastries, some cereals and yogurt. Good but nothing special. Location cannot be beat! You are only 1 street from St. Catherine and only a few min drive from St. Laurent the two major and must see Boulevards in Montreal. Overall a great hotel that provides the basic amenities very well! Definitely would stay again :)

Mature married couple
Great trip with the wife (married, no kids)
We stayed two nights at Hotel Roberval, and it was perfect for our needs...we will definitely return. The location in downtown Montreal cannot be beat...walking distance to: Old Town, shopping on Saint Catherine's, the fun, artsy college scene of UQAM, and quaint Chinatown. Also, it was a very easy 30 minute bus ride on the #747 shuttle from the airport (only $8!) I agree that I wouldn't spend all day at the hotel...but who really wants to do that? Our room had a nice, firm bed (we prefer firm so it was great), a flat screen tv, a small kitchenette (with fridge & microwave), and a clean bathroom. Yes, the towels aren't huge, but I'm not interested in walking around in a towel anyway. The staff was very friendly and helpful with ideas for restaurants and shopping. We really liked the continental breakfast with croissants/bagels, cereal, yogurt, coffee (strong - yum!), and juice. The value absolutely cannot be beat...but if you are high maintenance about your hotel rooms, look elsewhere. Leave this treasure for us!

It sucked really not what we expected!! No tv in bedroom, view was horrible, especially from the bedroom, couch was not comfortable...etc...etc...etc...

Nice basic hotel
We were looking for just a basic stay as we planned to spend most of time outside enjoying Montreal. This place was perfect, lean and worthy
