Good Choice

The hotel is located close to the Metro and is only a block and a half from the main artery of the city, St. Catherine's Street. The rooms are newly renovated and quite attractive. I would choose this hotel again.

It was exactly what I paid for!

Cheap tickets recommended this hotel in a package with my flight. Because I did not have a big budget and it was my first travel to Montreal I took both of them! It was a great experience, although it was a bit far from palais des congres (where I was having my conference) the hotel is very close to everything else, specially shopping, restaurants, metro and bus. The hotel is clean and the room was very nice, nothing to ask for a 5 star room, wifi was free, the bus stop to go/come to the airport is on the street. I am very pleased with Espresso.

scuba chick in montreal

loved everything about it. hotel very nice. staff member who checked me in and the gal working nights were extremely kind the other man (very tall) should take a lesson or two. very clean and conveniently located for walking and public transport. best part: no carpet in rooms. made you feel like cleanliness was #1 to them which is VERY important to me. one negative: did not get my wake up call necessary at 03:45. good thing I am a light sleeper. no apology given just a "it's in the book" (not saying it wasn't in the book, but didn't happen) could have missed my flight due to this oversight.

Good hotel...but restaurant needs much improvement

They need to move away from microwaved, store-bought food and join themselves to a chef who can prepare fresh meals.

weekend trip

Took my boyfriend here to see the UFC 158 fights. 1st time to Montreal and I was a little nervous about choosing a hotel. LOVED this hotel...very nice, affordable and walking distance to every thing. Very comfortable foam mattress (slept so well I forgot where I was). Very clean rooms and friendly staff. Only complaints (though they were EXTREMELY minimal) were that 1.) on the 7th floor the internet was impossible to use but we just went to the lobby to use the internet and 2.) the walls all around us were very sound proof except for the door leading to the hallway . There were lots of people in town for the fights and we heard a few big groups come through the halls, however as soon as they were in their rooms we could no longer hear them...could just hear noise in the hallways. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Cresent street (dining/night life) is maybe 5 minutes walking distance and St Catherine Street (shopping) is about the same. Very easy to walk to.

It was a good stay

The location was a little ify but it wasnt to far from the metro. The outside didnt look the best but inside the room made up for that. Especially at the price we paid.

Modern Magic

I didn't expect much from the cheap hotel I got through this site but I have to admit that I am never disappointed with any purchases from this site and this certainly was no exception! The room was big, beautiful and modern with a very cozy bed, beautiful furniture and hardwood floors. The bathroom was a bit smaller than I prefer but nice and bright and had one of those nice heavy shower curtains that doesn't get all up in your business while you shower. I would not only return but probably look at a jacuzzi suite next time for a romantic getaway with my hubby!

There are old and new rooms in this hotel

The first night was terrible. The room was old. Bathroom tab and sink were clogged. There were lots of cracks on the floor. The bathroom tab was broken. Then we asked to changed the room (asked for a new room facing the city). The staff were very helpful and arranged a new room for us. The new room was really nice (except the bathroom tab was clogged again). But still it worth the price. The design was beautiful and it was clean. You can't get better with location in this hotel. Very close to a subway station and the most famous street (St. Catherine). Not sure if I would stay again though/
