Great Location in Vieux Montreal
The Hotel Bonaparte is highly recommended; super friendly & knowledgeable staff, great location, and value. Walking distance to art galleries, restaurants, and must see sites. One of the city's greatest treasures, the Notre Dame Basilica is in the same block.

Nice European style hotel
We were in Montreal for my daughter s departure on Semester at Sea and stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. The staff was wonderful and very helpful with everything. There were only two problems we had. One was that the room was on the side of the hotel near the street and it was noisy in the middle of the night. A lot of auto noise and people talking loudly. The second was that the room was a little warm for sleeping. The air was central air but we had no control over how cool the room was kept. The breakfast was excellent!

Great location, great staff
This hotel is centrally located with a great breakfast option. When my daughter and I arrived to check in on the early side, they found a room for us and even gave us a free upgrade, which included free breakfast. Breakfast was yummy! The front desk helped with all kinds of small touristy questions we had. We will definitely go back there.

Great hotel
Great location right in Old Montreal, close to both the Cathedral Notre Dame and the waterfront. The restaurant is excellent, some of the best food I had during my stay. Also, reception is exceedingly efficient. I highly recommend Auberge Bonaparte.

Loved it!!
Great location in the middle of old Montreal. Very charming! Favorite memory: My husband and I came back after dinner nearby and asked where we could get an after dinner drink in the hotel. Our host took us into the restaurant where we each selected something to sip on. He poured them into snifters and set each on a doily on a plate. He then lead us to the rooftop garden via the elevator, made sure the lights were on, and left us there with our lovely drinks to enjoy the lights of the city. The drinks never appeared on our bill. We will definitely come back. Hotel Bonaparte has won our hearts.

clean, lovely, well-located
We had a short but lovely stay at the Bonaparte. The staff were very friendly helpful. It was well-located, walking distance from everything, had unique rooms with hard-wood floors and exposed brick walls. I definitely would stay there again.

Lovely place, great service
In Old Montreal near the port and Notre Dame Basilica. Staff was VERY helpful advising us on public transit, selling us the tickets right then, marking maps, etc. Lovely hotel and a great hot breakfast.

Excellent choice!
Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The women at the desk could not have been more helpful. The waitresses were very sweet and the lovely breakfast settings (white table cloths)and delicious breakfasts made our stay that much better. Rooms are spotlessly- ours faced the street and was very bright and cheerful. This hotel is close to shops and restaurants and there is even an English speaking threatre next door! Take the bike tour a few blocks away and then keep your bike for the afternoon and ride along the canal to the fruit market - FABULOUS! They will even cook an ear of corn for you. :) yum.
