Cozy & Romantic True Montreal Experience w/ breakfast
Chateau was originally a castle, and you are treated like you are staying in one. The place has great energy, the staff is very warm and cordial and do everything to make you feel comfortable. It has become a part of our loving memories in Montreal. I would highly recommend anyone staying there. The breakfast is a highlight - very French style.

PARKING - it costs $27 per night if you park in Chateau. But with a short walk you can park in the College de Montreal public parking for $11 for 12hrs. It is great.

Beautiful Hotel in the Arts District
Even though the temperature during my visit was well below record freezing, the C. Versailles had the warmest ambiance and comfortable interior. The reception desk, valet and bellman assistance, the chambermaids were all most informative and helpful. The breakfast room is beautiful as was my front bedroom with electric fireplace. This Hotel is well positioned for nearby and more distant excursions. Several of Montreal's best Museums are within walking distance, and the nearest Metro Station is only a short 2 blocks away. Restaurants are everywhere!

A Cold Day's Night in Montreal
We enjoyed staying at this hotel and found the location to be OK. Our room was cold and we had to run the gas fireplace when when we were in the room to keep it comfortable. We would stay here again, but perhaps not in the dead of winter (-11 F outside).

Charming!!
The hotel is a collection of old Montreal Mansions that have been joined together. Absolutely charming! The location is excellent. The valet parking is very convenient and your car is available at any time for one daily price. I would stay there again!!!

Warm, friendly well located
We were welcomed warmly bu the front door staff. They even told us where we might park more cheaply than their lot. Everyroom is different; some front on Sherbrooke street (beautiful) others on the side or rear. We changed rooms and they happily brought all our luggage from one to the other. Some of the features are dated - taps on the shower need a very sensitive hand or you'll get scortched - the windows look like they open but don't swing very smoothly, the base board heaters are decorative only and the air climate controllers hadn't converted to heat yet! Despite all that we loved the location. We are not B&B people but we struck up wonderful breakfast conversations with a few couples during our stay. The breakfasts were healthy - of the fruit, cereal, toast, and poridge variety. They do have very modern one cup Kurigs coffee makers in the room but they don't replace the caps of coffee each day and you have to go down to the desk to buy more - a pain. We stayed, in the old mansion - it was lovely but no elevator so third floor digs can get tiring. The hotel is near the downtown shopping and very close to the Montreal Museum of Art which has a very good permanent collection and usually an excellent travelling show on - it was the Impressionists when we were there. Fine... not great.
While I love the exterior architecture and the interior design, it just wasn't enough to keep me satisfied. The hotel staff were very friendly and the breakfast was the highlight of our day. At one time the sleeping room was probably cool with a deep orange color, but time has taken its toll and it just looked dirty and used. The room was small and awkward and smelled too heavily of peaches. They touted a keurig but then only offered you two k-cups of coffee. The bed was a full, uncomfortable and the sheets were rough. We did not sleep well at all. Why would they not just offer queen size beds as a standard? I do fully understand the meaning of a boutique hotel, but there just was not enough 'good' to outweigh the 'bad'.

Long walk from hotel
Take metro to China town for the noodles and then into old town for the music
