Good weekend
Hotel is OK. Nothing special about it. It is in a good location though. They only have free Wi-Fi in the lobby; otherwise you have to pay an extra fee to access internet from your room. Good for a weekend.

Excellent hotel
My family stayed the night at the Marriott while in town for a couple of blue jays games. The room and service was awesome. Any hotels closer to the Rogers Center cost $150-$200 more a night. We just got a cab back and forth $20 each way and was well worth it.

NEVER COME BACK
HORRIBLE RECEPTIONIST: When I called to ask some information, as soon as I said I prefer book online, the receptionist named Nicole hung up on me, not let me finish my question. I thought it was an incident and so called back, Nicole did not bother to pick up. MOST DISCOMFORT STAY EVER: I booked online anyway. I booked a room for 4 guests and they arranged us in a room with one king bed and brought up a fold-able single bed. It is extremely uncomfortable. I have stayed in many hotels/motels. Never happened before to us that a hotel/motel gave a king bed to 4-guest booking. This is so unexpected especially in a 4 star hotel. BAD EXPERIENCE

Could Have Been Worse (I Guess)
First impression was not that great, definitely not for the Marriot. Most (if not all) 2-star hotels have better lounges than this one. We were given a two queen room where we asked for a king. No big deal we had the room switched immediately with no problems. However, as I went to retrieve the new keys, the clerk noticed a case of beer I was carrying and made a point to tell me that I was not to be too loud as to not disturb the people in the VIP room across the hall (a little unprofessional). The nickel and diming was also a little ridiculous. We had to pay $6 a day for parking (not too bad but we have stayed in Toronto before with free parking for hotel), WIFI was $15 a day (free everywhere else), and a 2 second local phone call was $3. Just didn't seem like I was treated like a valued guest and the hotel was not nice enough to make up for that. All in all we had a great experience in Toronto (when we weren't in the hotel). Definitely will take my business elsewhere next time as well as making it a point to tell my family and friends to never go there. I'll actually most likely never stay at any Marriot again because I am so turned off by it. That may be a little drastic but with all the nice hotels out there, why risk it?

O'noir is a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere really heightens your sense of taste and smell as well as eliminating any distractions and forcing you to pay attention to your food and your date. (DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE SCARED OF THE DARK!)

Great weekend getaway
We had a king size bed on the 6th floor...very clean, and quiet. Check-in was extremely busy (Friday). Check-out was quick. Great location,we walked everywhere. Parked in the public lot next door that charged less than the valet parking at the hotel.

Couldn't get better
With a million and a half Pride revelers outside their front door, the staff of this hotel was kind, prompt, and helpful. When I travel out of the US, this is exactly the kind of hotel experience I want. An excellent and clean market and shopping center in the building and close to lots of shops, restaurants and fun. Three blocks from Church & Wellsley for members of the gay community. Worth the extra $.

Very fine room.
I gulped when I was told my room was on the first floor. What that meant, however, was something like a beautifully set-up slightly bigger than usual room facing a, sort of, Japanese garden with trimmed trees and bushes right outside. Very fine small landscape outside, and yes that nice room. Bathroom small but perfect. Front desk and lobby raised so-so expectations. This is not a real service hotel -- and the staff by no means salutes or snaps to attention when you stand there with a question (well, one young guy did, but the others were half inattentive) but then again it is four-star not five, and they did the job okay. Restaurant seemed adequate but -- right next to the front door in the entry and entirely wide-open to the lobby -- more for breakfast or quick lunch than for serious dining. (For a pricey but very fine grown-up dinner -- no waiters named Todd with fresh pepper -try OPUS not far off.) A very happy stay at the Bloor Marriott -- but yes four stars not five-star grace notes. For my needs just fine. I will be back.
