I'd go back there in a heartbeat!

We absolutely loved the hotel. Even before we arrived, the concierge, Vanessa, had emailed me back about certain tours and about the room we wanted. Once we were there, she and Shawn (concierge) recommended very nice, nearby restaurants that had what we were looking for --- great food, not expensive, nice atmosphere. Thank you to them and all the staff! This very classy --- and friendly --- hotel is located near bustling shopping areas, from Eaton Mall to St. Lawrence Market, and near churches of different denominations. The hotel itself had gorgeous details that show the creativity and artsmanship of the architects, engineers and craftspeople of the time. While you're in the large & comfortable lobby, look up at the columned Mezzanine; the plasterwork has intricate decorations that are absolutely gorgeous (without being over-the-top). The afternoon tea is undoubtedly a very lovely British aspect that gives the lobby an additional flair during those hours. The hotel has a well-equipped clean gym, flat/narrow TV screens inside the rooms and gym, large ornate meeting rooms, and a fabulously attentive staff. If ever we are in the Toronto area, we would definitely go back to the King Edward in a heartbeat!

great deal

I got a very good deal through a major online travel site and have no complaints. I had minimal interaction with the staff and did not use the amenities so cannot comment on those aspects of the hotel. The room was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great. This was a very nice hotel and an excellent location for the price. I would stay again.

Bannock just up the street from the hotel has never disappointed me. The St. Lawrence market is about two blocks away and is one of the world's best.

Great Weekend Stay

Very nice hotel however the parking is a bit of a challenge which we did expect from a downtown location. Very pricey to park with the hotel for in and out priveleges so we chose an underground option just down the street. The hotel is close to just about everything! The room was nice but showing signs of wear such as wallpaper peeling in areas and light fixtures that were a bit tarnished. Overall we were very happy with our stay and appreciated being upgraded to a king room as well.

A charming and elegant hotel

The room is very spacious with extra high ceiling. Furnishing is tasteful & comfortable. Love the launch in the lobby. No in room coffee machine but they brew complimentary coffee in the lobby.

The staff made my trip a very nice experience, friendly exceptional service from the door persons to the front desk staff, all were very helpful. The front desk manager Todd provided exceptional care, going beyond the call to assist with lost and found with the airline. He provided professional service and I will recommend this hotel to my friends and associates.

Hyvä keskustahotelli

Henkilökunta oli tosi ystävällistä ja auttavaista. Viihtyisä pub. Yleiset tilat siistin ja arvokkaan näköisiä. Sohvaryhmän uusiminen olisi ajankohtaista meidän huoneessa. Hyvät kulkuyhteydet. Aamiaisen pitäisi kuulua huoneen hintaan.
