Great location
The hotel is located a block away from Dundas Square and the Eaton Centre, not a far walk to the Entertainment District. The sheets and towels were extremely clean and the staff was accommodating. Overall great experience!

Good stay
I booked this hotel with a little trepidation about the mixed reviews. I definitely had a very good experience at the Metropolitan. Staff were polite and very pro-customer. There is a lot going on in the nieghborhood that it is in, and the hotel itself is tucked on a side street, but by no means was it remote and/or loud. Definitely recommend for anyone and will stay there in the future!

Great location! Awesome Staff!
I found this to be a great place to stay, Very close to the bus terminal, Toronto City Hall, The Eaton's Centre, and the theatre district and the new Opera house and Queen St. for shopping and restaurants. Walking distance to Toronto Convention Centre about 15mins. I had a room with a king bed and found the room had plenty of space for my needs. I would have like to see a flat screen T.V. The bed was great and room clean and comfortable. They do charge a resort fee at the end of your stay of $9/night to cover internet and bottled water but really no complaint there. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall I found it to be a great hotel and would stay there again.

Good Location in a Great City!
I think I might have lucked out more than normal with the room (room 1603), because the view was absolutely AMAZING! (I don't think it was as good on the other side of the hotel.) I had a great view of the CN tower and downtown. It also was within a great distance of the St. Patrick Subway station - which was great for getting around the rest of the city! It was slightly more than I would usually pay, but it was a great place to rest up from traveling all around town and the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable! :)

Outstanding stay at Metropolitan Hotel
The hotel was located near the shopping district and many wonderful restaurants. The amenities I wanted were perfect. The pool and hot tub were heated just right, which I needed after walking miles sight-seeing Toronto. The staff at the hotel was very accomodating, from Eduardo, the concierge to Laars at the front desk. The room was very clean. And the restaurants and bar were upscale, yet affordable. I surely will return, next time I will bring my husband!

Nice, comfty stay in Toronto
This was my first visit to Toronto. I had a friend who would take me around so decided to stay at this hotel to be at a central location for my visiting purposes. I didn't spend much time at the hotel since I was out a lot, but I found it to be perfect for my trip since it was clean, with a very comfortable bed, and enough space for my weekend needs (those who think rooms are small, go to Europe...).

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
Two great restaurants within the hotel. Lots of shopping within very short distance as well as restaurants and market-type stores for fresh fruit, convenience stores etc.
