Hotel was great located right in downtown! Seemed to be some issues with elevator with higher floors. We requested a lower floor and had no issues! Downside: our view was of the roof over the pool. The roof was covered with cigarette butts, condom wrappers, broken glass and beer bottles. There were also balloons with male genitalia drawn on them all over the roof. Thank goodness we do not have children! The staff were amazing, the room was super comfortable and we were right in the heart of downtown! We would stay again and highly recommend!

Good Value
Good location - within walking distance of most sites. Beds were comfortable. Concierge was very helpful. There was lots of noise from the hallway though, which disrupted our sleeping. Good value.

Beware: not even remotely close to 4 stars
This is, at best, a 2-star hotel. As someone who only stays at 4 stars and above in larger cities - and I travel a lot - this hotel has nothing in common with any other "4 star" property I've stayed it in over a decade.
First, it is clearly an
old, broken-down property that was re-named and renovated. The room renovation is OK, I give the room 3 stars. The bathroom, terrible, 1 star. Tub is decaying, tile floor is dirty and gross, toilet is junk, sink is laughably low. It was disgusting, and really gave you a sense of how terrible the entire room must have been before. There were bugs crawling around on the bathroom floor. Bugs. 4 stars? No way.
They had signs posted that, a month ago, their deal with the elevator union fell apart and they apologized for the lack of elevators working. Only 2 of the bank of 6 for our tower worked, servicing hundreds of rooms. At one point one of them broke down and only one elevator was working. We waited 20 minutes for the elevator before finally going down the

Overall great stay. The elevator system was a little confusing, different colors for different floors, getting to the pool was not labled very well, had to switch elevators part was up. Balconies are great. Hotel has a fantastic location. Unlimited in & out of the parking garage is great.

In the midst of the Toronto
During our three-day visit, we walked to shopping, to City Hall and an outdoor concert, to a New Orleans jazz restaurant, to the Ontario Art Gallery, Ontario Museum and to historic churches -- all within a dozen blocks of the front door. Four British pubs are located within a stone's throw. Better still we could stay in the comfort of the hotel, swim, and choose from among its three restaurants.

It is OK, nothing more
This hotel was under renovation. The rooms were OK and clean, very comfy bed, the fixtures and basics were not installed nor maintained well. Sloooow flushing toilets. The elevators were having problems. Staff very friendly and professional. Pool poorly maintained, cloudy water=do not enter. I will find another place if I go to Toronto again.

Dining tip:
Long walk from hotel
The Asian cuisine is quite authentic and excellent quality. So the Chinatown trip is well worth it. The Kensington Market is actually a group of stores making a hippy town, not really worth the trip, though there are a few gems, the natural food stores are very good.
