Location makes this Hotel a "good buy"

It is wonderful to be able to do the following things right outside this hotel: Starbucks on the corner, Wish an excellent place for a wonderful meal, Maggie's across the street for a great breakfast brunch and fresh sushi right next door. Location is what makes this hotel a good match for out trips to Toronto.

Good location, definitely young crowd

We were there for New years and our floor was incredibly noisy from check in to check out. The room was nice, clean and a good size. The lighting was not the best around the mirrors. The bathroom was okay but expected for a Comfort Hotel in downtown Toronto. Overall, I'd recommend it to people without a family.

Great location for the price

The hotel is a little dated but if you want to spend time in the city and not in your bedroom, this place is perfect.

Spacious room and great location

My wife and I stayed here for two nights during a quick visit to Toronto to see some friends. I was very pleased to have easy access parking provided by the hotel. It was an extra fee, but well worth it. I just parked the car and was able to walk everywhere. This is a great location for people traveling on foot - there are shopping, food, the Village, the subway, money exchange stores, and cafes all to be had within walking distance. The hotel staff was very courteous. My room was surprisingly large - I had two double beds with enough floor space left to equal another double bed or more. I didn't expect that when I booked it.

My review of Comfort Hotel Downtown

The room was tired and dull, the air system was old and not working well...the fixtures were dated and worn.

Central but Seedy

I was on a four day business trip to Toronto so this hotel fit my needs in that I was not expecting a luxury experience. I was not disappointed! This hotel is run down and in a tatty state. The room was grubby and although a non-smoking room it smelt of tobacco. As a woman travelling alone I did not like being nextdoor to The Brass Rail (a huge strip joint). The best aspects of this hotel were the Internet access which was was free and reliable. Also the bed was comfortable. The hotel was, however, noisy, and the restaurant next door was not open at 6:30 am for breakfast. There was no fridge. Overall, I would rather pay more for better amenities.
