Great location, average accommodations
We chose to stay at the Primrose because it was near the area of Toronto that we came to visit, and was the best price in comparison with other hotels in that area, as well as modernized rooms. Pros: Staff was friendly and very accommodating, originally there was a room mix-up and they were very concerned with our happiness and acceptance of the room we were moved into. The bed was comfortable and the floor was quiet. Cons: -The parking garage is just behind the hotel and you can reach it by elevator from your room, which is great, but it is very small and awkward and impossible to navigate smoothly. Turning every corner in that garage meant backing up a few times and correcting so That my car would not scrape against the walls. With concentration and patience it is doable, but a very uncomfortable experience. - the rooms are modernized, but they do not have an atmosphere of clean and new and fresh. The rooms are fine and I would stay here again of I was traveling on my own, however it does not have the right comfortable, fresh and relaxing presence for a romantic weekend.

Short drive from hotel
Harbord street has a lot of romantic restaurants to choose from, we enjoyed our meal at Loire restaurant very much and will return to try others in that area.

Good value for the price
Not too close to downtown, so that involved a $15 cab ride each time we were either coming or going. That said, the room rates were half of what they typically are downtown, so it's a better deal overall. Hotel very close to Maple Leaf Gardens, so lots of history nearby. The gym is quite small. Cardio and weights are actually in two separate rooms and need a little makeover IMHO. Staff was great and rooms were spacious and clean.

A good value for Toronto
Good location for my needs and the price was right. Half the hotel is being used as a dorm so ask for a quiet room. The elevators are slow and get crowded from all the students, but it really isn't a problem. Breakfast staff seemed overworked and not very service-oriented, although buffet was ok.

Christmas in Toronto
We only slept here and it was a perfect location for us close to where family lives, the theatres and town. My only complaint was the pillows. Although they look wonderful, I need a low pillow or my neck gets sore. These big high ones didn't work for me and I wish there was a choice. I ended up using my coat rolled to the right height. The bed itself was very comfortable.

Long walk from hotel
take your time so much to see around town is a very rewarding experience . love this city so much i did not want to leave. niagna fall was the best . the fun land is a little disapointment because you have to pay so much for water you could die from thirsts i would not recomend the funland unless you have money to spend. bring plenty of water with you and hope you do not faint from heats but have fun the ride is a thrills a sec, and now for the shows best of all very entertaining love every moment will never forget the memory of a life time.

We Like Lots
We got room for family in Primrose for vacation and got nice views of city area. The room was big and had in it, 2 beds and private bathroom. The staffs there are nice and like to help with the directions and to give places to visit. The hotel looks very modern in style and the area has lots of things to do. We like our trip very much so and having a good time.

OK hotel but poor service
Staff seemed bored and give poor information regarding parking availability - - there was none but because of misinformed staff had to wait half an hour to find out about it. Specifically requested two beds but given room with one. When expressed frustration to front desk regarding because of this it took us an hour to get checked in, did not even receive an apology.
