great location for Gay travelers

High price for what you get. Decent sized room, but tiny, tiny bathroom and no safe. WiFi is unreliable. On the upside, you can walk to all the gay bars in The Village and crawl home.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Toronto has a grocery store chain called Loblaws. It more of a mall. Groceries, banking, cooked foods, everything you need. It 's only a block away from this hotel - on the corner of Church and Carlton. ATM accepts American debit cards too.

Good hotel but cleanliness

I stayed in this hotel for a night, and I think the hotel is nice, location is good but cleanliness. I have seen a lot of hair in bathroom. They supposed to clean it before they give the room to me..

not what I expected.

Room smaller than advertised. Cleaning standards pour. Shower head, behind doors, mirrors. Number of towels in the room changed daily from 1 to 3. Vending and ice machines not work on at least two floors.

Money spent in the right places!

If you are looking for a comfortable room in a decent location, this might be a good bet. The Hotel itself is an older building and I think the owner has done a good job of investing his money in the right places. Certain areas of the lobby, your hotel room and bathroom have been updated with more modern aesthetic, but you can see the age of the Hotel in the corridors of each floor and signage, etc. Some areas of the hotel make you wonder if you might have made a mistake, but when you open your room door...it's like you're in a new hotel! The staff was pleasant and we were very comfortable for the night we stayed here. If you're on a budget, this is a good deal. I would caution if walking and exploring to stay towards the tourist friendly area. There are some halfway homes and missions that you may want to avoid...harmless for the most part, but not the best scenery Toronto has to offer.

Good experience. Clean, quiet, met my needs. Wifi could be better, free service is slow, they offer an upgrade for $12 day. Close walk to downtown Toronto entertainment district.
