Perfect stay for Winterlude
Had a wonderful weekend enjoying Ottawa's annual Winterlude festival. The staff were very knowledgeable, helped with dinner reservations and overall made our stay great. Club floor breakfast and lounge were great -- a little oasis in the hotel.

A really good hotel
I had a great time here. They had plenty of good amenities, a pretty good wireless connection, a fitness center and pool, etc. No bed bugs. It's in walking distance of most places. I like how they had pretty girls working at the front desk. The staff was friendly.

Floridian Chilling Out
Ottawa Sheraton gets most of it right
Americans staying in this Canadian hotel will mainly feel at home. Bottled water in the room is free. The thermostat can be converted from Celsius to Fahrenheit with a push of a button. Breakfasts in the dining room are pricey but the staff is great and the syrup on your waffles or pancakes is 100% maple with no corn sweetener. That's Starbucks coffee you are drinking. Enjoy the Globe & Mail newspaper provided and you can learn a bit about Parliament. Imagine a government where the president always belongs to the majority party! See the museums!

Long walk from hotel
Don't miss the Museum of Civilization on the Quebec side of the river. Relics from the aboriginal people (their Native Americans) are outstanding and occupy most of the first floor. The "foundation" of Canada's civilization was formed by these people.

Friendly but no Wifi
Staff was very friendly, but they need wifi in the rooms. There was an ethernet plug at the desk, but wifi should be standard at this point. Also, not sure if this is just Canada, but the TV was awful -- both in choices and in the setup. The remote had a delay so when you changed the channel it took 5 seconds to flip to a new channel. Annoying.

Very good accommodation
Was in good location for walking to many of the sites. Restaurant had a very good buffet breakfast at a reasonable price. Would go back when in Ottawa again.

My stay at the Sheraton Ottawa
Location is in business area, not much to do for shopping, night life. However hotel is very close to government buildings (5 min. walk) and 10 min. walk to the market area and national gallery, what I can recommend. I went to see the pop life exhibition in the national gallery, what was amazing and had a bite to eat at Kink, an asian/ sushi restaurant in the market area. Ottawa has no high end anything. The hotel staff was very friendly, rooms where clean and comfortable. Although I think the rooms can use a major update, but then again I'm in the interior design business and used to the newest and latest. Overall good choice for money.

GOOD STAY
Our first morning we went out for breakfast to save money, but we spent as much as we would have spent in the hotel. So second morning, we had the breakfast brunch. It was very good with all the fresh fruit and we could wish for. Well worth the price. Garage storage was easy with the fast delivery service when we needed the car. Great location for walking to see the goverment buildings.
