Amazing!

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. My boyfriend and I went in December to see Niagara Falls and we decided to stay at this hotel. I am so glad we did. The room was beautiful. It had a gorgeous fire place, hard wood floors, an amazing shower, and jacuzzi. It was so romantic, especially during this time of year. We stayed on the 2nd floor and it was beautiful. We did not eat at the restaurant because it was only open one night out out of our 2 night stay and the prices seemed a little steep. This hotel is NOT located directly at the falls, but the walk is not long at all. The breakfast in bed was such a nice touch! And the food was delish! We had an amazing time and would definitely stay here again. The Sterling Inn and Spa caters to romance!

Great couple's getaway!

My boyfriend and I stayed at Sterling for our second anniversary. I chose this hotel because of the ambiance. What you see in the official pictures is exactly what you get! The rooms are beautifully, and tastefully furnished. We spent a great deal of time just lounging around and relaxing with the TV on. The beds were so comfortable that we had trouble getting off for dinner! Our room had the steam shower, which was also a great experience. The steam function keeps you warm even if you're not directly standing in the water. I'd definitely stay here again if I come to NIagara in the future.

Money missing from room!!!

I recently stayed here for a 2-year anniversary. First off, the shower "jets" were more like trickles. On our second day, the breakfast was missing items like butter for the bread and fruit. The safe wasn't working properly, so we left $230 in an envelope in the armoire. When it came up missing after the room was cleaned, the front desk staff and manager were less than helpful in searching for it, unconcerned with our inconvenience and even came across as accusatory towards my finace and I. They basically said I should have put it in the safe and when we realized it wasn't working, should have called them. If they never came to clean the shower jets, why would they come to fix the safe?!?! They basically said "we have your information and we'll call you if it comes up." We had to REQUEST to file a police report. Needless to say, I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody.

Quiet haven in Niagra Falls

After driving through the crazy and crowded business district by the falls, the Sterling Inn was a lovely and quiet haven. Check-in was easy and the friendly personnel answered our questions and gave us helpful tips on places to go, etc.. The room was wonderful - comfortable and beautifully appointed. The bathroom was amazing and the steam shower was heavenly! Its true that you are several blocks from the falls, but you are also removed from the Vegas type strip which is quite over the top. The restaurant was incredible - locally grown produce featured and the staff was great. All in all, a very nice experience and we will certainly go back.

The falls were truly amazing, especially from the Canadian side. Also, unless you enjoy chain type restaurants, eat at the restaurant in the Inn. The food was truly spectacular.

Pretty good

Pros:The hotel room was quite spacious with nice amenities. The daily breakfast in bed was a nice touch. Although the hotel was not along the main drag, it was nice to be away from all the action as it was just a short walk away. Cons: As far as the staff, there was really only one front desk person (male) who was helpful, hospitable, and gracious. The remaining (all female) were abrupt and curt. The room was essentially clean but we kept finding random hairs on the bed linen and in the bathroom. It would be nice if all of that was removed before each new guest arrives. Also, each day, our breakfast dishes arrived dirty.

wonderful place to stay

everything and everyone at this hotel was great. The girl at the front desk was excellent..... I only have one little thing about the bed and that would be the step up to get into bed I banged my leg several times.

Better Management & Cleanliness Could Make This 5 Stars

Although the hotel has no curb appeal and is located in a depressed area I was very impressed with the room size and layout. The four poster king bed was comfortable, there was a tv mounted above a fireplace, a desk and chaise and another chair. In addition, there was a wet bar and a dresser. The bathroom was the highlight with jacuzzi and a glass enclosed shower with multiple water sprays. The flexible hose attaching the portable air conditioner to our window came undone the first night but they said they would send someone to fix it when the maintenance crew arrived at 9:00 am. Apparently, there was also central AC but the hose connected to the window prevented us from closing the blinds or curtains. I had read many of the reviews of this hotel and was curious about why they were so different. Perhaps it depended on the staff you encountered. The first night after my shower I found someones, other than my own, hair on my feet. The next day after the room was "cleaned" the bar sink had not been cleaned and the crumbs and food from our breakfast had not been cleaned from the desk and nightstand where we ate. A small table and 2 chairs would be a welcome addition. Each day the number of very rough towels dwindled. The four small bottles of soaps and hair products were not replenished in the bathroom. Finally, on the last day, it appeared that we had someone who cleaned the room well and took care of some of the previous issues. That is until I pulled back the sheets to find another long black hair, again not mine. I brought this to the attention of the reception desk clerk. He said that he would have the manager contact me. That never occurred. When we checked out the clerk asked if we enjoyed our stay and when I replied, "no," she asked if I had brought this to any ones attention. When I answered affirmatively she said, "well you are prepaid so here is the manager's card, you can call her." As a result of the cleanliness issues we canceled our reservation at AG, restaurant at the hotel. On the one occasion that we tried to go to the spa/fitness area the elevator was out order. With better management this hotel should be able to get five star reviews every time other than for the surrounding property which could be overlooked if you are indulged inside. It would just take a little more effort, customer service, and perhaps greeting patrons when then walked through the lobby. This was our first time at Niagara Falls but it will not be our last. The Falls and Niagara on the Lake are absolutely beautiful.

Sterling Inn

Our room was very dirty. We found an old sock under a chair and it looked as if under the bed hadn't been touched in months. The lamps and end tables were very dusty. We left in the morning and returned at 3:30 and our room had not been touched by housekeeping. When we told the hotel of this they brought us fresh towels but didn't clean the room. As we checked out we weren't ask how our stay was. It was a very disappointing experience since The Sterling Inn seemed to have a lot of potential.

Amazing room!

The room was super big and very modern. The hotel is super close to all the sites. We were steps away from Clifton Hill and the Falls. Parking was free as well as WIFI. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. We would definitely come back!
