Brick floors and a roaring hearth beside a world-famous landmark
The Old Stone Inn, a converted flourmill, retains the charm of the original building with features such as brick floors and stone walls.  Amenities and décor are traditional and unfussy.  The result is a quiet, homey atmosphere.  International dishes and wines are served in the hotel’s old-world restaurant.  Guests can relax in either the indoor or the outdoor pool after a long day of sightseeing.  The Old Stone Inn is on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.  It offers a non-smoking, old-fashioned change from its modern rivals.
You Stay Here Because
  • Comfortable Niagara Falls hotel in a charming historic building
  • Great location - a ten-minute walk to the Falls
  • Free internet access and free parking
Old Stone Inn Rooms
Comfort and traditional ambience are the key features of rooms at the Old Stone Inn.  Guests can choose between Standard rooms with two double beds or Executives with one queen-size bed.  The bathrooms have showers over the tubs and are convenient for scrubbing up and dressing for dinner in the Inn's restaurant.  Visitors to the area usually choose to stay at the Old Stone Inn because they want a comfortable, understated base from which to explore the amazing sights in the area.  One of the highlights of this hotel is the free high-speed internet access.

Great hotel!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the room was very comfortable, up-to-date and most importantly; CLEAN. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, upon arrival we were notified that my credit card has been declined for some reason (I'm thinking it's because it was a debit credit card combo) and the staff allowed us to pay a small deposit and pay cash for the room which was a huge relief. The hotel was also very close to the main strip, we were able to walk everywhere except the butterfly conservatory. The only complaints I have are that the room was very very cold and I couldn't figure out the thermostat for the life of me and that the ice and pop machines on our floor were both nonfunctional. Overall though I would return to this hotel and recommend it to anyone planning on staying in niagara falls.

Great mini vacation

Hotel was in a good location. Could walk to everything. Once the car was parked did not move it, walked everywhere. The hotel had a restaurant but it was expensive so we ate elsewhere. Staff was friendly. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. One nice thing was that we were on the 3rd floor so we could open the window at night and get fresh air. The air conditioner was noisy. Would definitely stay at this hotel again!

Charming!

This location was quite and close to everything. Needed more information from desk about tickets for attractions and things to do. The internet was down so could not use the "free"internet/ computer and the wifi was not working either for most of our stay. Other than that it was fine. Resturant had great food. Also the parking was free.

Wonderful family owned Inn in the Heart of everything

From the moment we arrived, and was greeted by Jenniifer at the front desk we felt like family. The Inn has so much charm, and a lot of history. We learned that the Prime Minister of England stayed here in the mid 80's (saw the picture in the restaurant). Speaking of the restaraunt, it was wonderful as well. The staff again made us feel so good (Amy and Wayne were fun & fabulous). In fact, Amy (our waitress) gave my wife a hug when we finished dinner our first night! The Inn has a beautiful pool area, but we didn't bring our swim suits and regretted that. The abudant free parking was also great. The only thing we were surprised at was that the elevator was at the end of the hotel instead of centrally located. But this is understandable given the history of this beautiful place and how it was restored. We highly recommend this to anyone, and we certainly would NOT stay anywhere else in Niagra Falls. It is so much more personal than the other large chain hotel complexes.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

The Skylon Tower parking lot is virtually across the street from the Old Stone Inn. We were disappointed with the Summit Dinning (Buffet) food quality, but the view was out of this world and made up for it. If we had it to do over, we would have eaten at the Old Stone Inn again, and just gone up to the observation level of the tower for the view.

wonderful surprise!

Went not really knowing what to expect with all the different reviews, so here's another one. We thought it was great, the rooms are extremely clean and the bed was so comfortable. We were in a room directly across from a nightclub that appears to only be open Saturday nights, a little worried but, didn't hear a thing. We slept like babies.Bought the (Visit Ticket) worth every penny as long as you have a car and GPS to get you to some of the attractions Example, Erie Canal Criuse, Lockport Caves,40 minutes away but a great day trip, then back for dinner and Clifton Hill! Awesome trip would recommend both Visit Ticket(3 day) and hotel to everyone. Kathy and Bob

TERRIFIC FIND!

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. Charming, clean, centrally located. Special bonus is the free internet AND free parking. This is not typical of the area, so both items being free was a great savings. A surprise was the excellent restaurant. When we went to the city's tourisim bureau, it was recommended as one of the best places to eat! We hope to return to the area and stay here again. CUDOS!

Great location for the price

Absolutely beautiful lobby and restaurant but probably better for couples as our kids judge a hotel by the pool! Pros: Location was wonderful - 10 minute walk to falls and 5 minutes to Clifton Hill. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Free parking, clean hotel and room, well lit bathrooms. Cons: Outdoor pool still closed and indoor pool had no heater so the kids refused to go in it – they swear they saw penguins it was so cold! Very small TV (probably 19-20 in) and no mini-frig in room for leftovers and cold drinks. Beds are a bit stiff but passable. In the Area: Marineland – great if kids haven't been to Sea World yet. Shows were fun but be prepared to walk. The park is very spread out. Pack a lunch and bring a cooler to save money in the park. Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds – must do's in Niagara Falls. Lines at Maid of the Mist are a bit disorganized at first but once you get to the ramps you move pretty quickly.
