View was awesome, too many hidden costs such as parking fees, WIFI fee, which were not mentioned in the online . Overall not a bad place to stay

THE place to stay at Niagara Falls
I always say I don't want to spend my days away from home and work inside a hotel. So, why should I pay for it? At The Oakes, I was walking distance from the Falls, restaurants, casinos and everything I wanted. I went to sleep with the sound of the crushing falls and a view that could have easily cost twice what I paid. BTW, one can take great pictures of Niagara Falls from the room's window on the Falls side of the hotel. Next time I'm in the NF Ontario, I won't even look at other places.

Great truck stop
Great location to the casino and the horseshoe falls. staff ok. hotel is dirty and needs lots of updates. not a good hotel for a nice vacation. sleeping rooms only

Excellent view
Have one of the best vues of niagara falls both us and canada. We got an 11th floor room. The room was clean but carpet and wall needs to be renew so it can be more confortable. You can buy a hotel offer at the lobby that includes diner, breakfast, wifi, 50 us casino coupon and 4 wineyard testings for 69 plus tax. Great!

Save your money
Horrible hotel, no fridge, no microwave, rusting ceiling in the bathroom, the shower head is made for people 5'6" or shorter, the heater/AC was temperamental and loud, one bed was soft the other hard as the floor, the tv is out of the dinosaur age, old, blurry, and the channel selection is lacking. The pool was really dirty and cold, even my 6 year old said we should have stayed somewhere else. Parking for $15 is a joke since there is enough parking for less than half the rooms.

Personal disappointment
At fist I thought got a good deal, but unfortunately nobody in your family or your wife or girlfriend will end up appreciating you finding this 'gem'. Probably you will end up feeling terrible yourself for taking that decision. Rooms are dirty, carpet that you don;t want to walk on w/o shoes, even the lamp covers look damaged from partying. AC system is probably from 1980 and in he specific case of my room (terrible 2nd floor annex rooms) there was this repetitive vibration noise that could drive you nuts at night. With all honesty, you will wish you have paid $20 or whatever dollars more somewhere not to experience this.
