Location with a view

The hotel has a great view of the falls (the rooms with falls view). The American side is clearly visible 100%. The Canadian side (the horse shoe) is only partially visible as the falls is perpendicular to the hotel. Still, the view is worth it. The rest of the amenities are on par.

Great Experience

Check in was easy and efficient. The room had a great view of the falls and was clean and bright. The dining room was very nice but quite expensive. We self parked in an outside lot and still had to pay $25 plus taxes each night which we were not too happy about. Overall, a very good experience at this hotel.

Time-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Take the We Go bus to get around Niagra Falls and leave your car in the parking lot. The We Go takes you everywhere, and you can get off and get back on very easily.

Good hotel but needs attention!

Room was overlooking noisy fans, cobwebs & dust were present throughout our stay & NEVER cleaned even though the rest of the room was supposedly cleaned every day, this hotel needs a DEEP CLEAN & attention to detail, staff were extremely friendly but not vey knowledgable re: bus etc, Milestones restaurant was excellent but expensive, charging for wifi in room is just plain ridiculous considering what you are paying for this hotel, overall enjoyed our stay but sort out the above!

Wonderful view

The view was outstanding from 28th floor. Paid extra but well worth it. The elevator was slow getting there (only one seemed to work) The hotel staff was very helpful and nice. Would definitely recommend.

Will go somewhere else next time

I arrived on Saturday night (7/19) to check in at the Marriott Gateway on the Falls at Niagara Falls. The receptionist was nice and checked us in efficiently. >We were assigned room 1510 to which we went to settle in. When walking in, the room had been done but in a very sloppy manner with clear signs of someone having been laying on one of the beds, watching TV and leaving it as is upon leaving (I have taken pictures if you need them). I called in the customer service who politely apologized, told me to go back to reception to have my room changed and a compensation for the inconvenience caused. I was so far pretty happy with the services I had received. I went downstairs and asked the receptionist named Mike to help (after a while as he was originally busy chatting with other team members). He was 'just enough' polite but was clearly bothered to have to help us/work (in which case I reckon he should consider another profession). The advantage of a rather rude behavior is that we got set with a new room pretty fast (1410) but when I asked about the compensation kindly offered, he told me he doubted that was the case and asked who I spoke to. I was rather surprised and did not remember the name but he told me he would go to check. After a good 10 minutes, he came back announcing that the person I spoke to was Victoria and she did not say we would get compensated. In other words, I was being told I was a lier. Seeing my disappointment, he offered to provide us with free Wi-fi in the room – that we should enter our room number but that he would waive the charges. 2 nights later we received the bill that indeed did not have the Wi-fi charges but… Self parking charges while, we did not have a car with us. Upon check out, I questioned the team member downstairs (Carlos) who promptly helped us with the request so we could leave. Overall, my experience at this hotel was clearly not up to the standards of Marriott and what the brand is selling with 'Travel Brilliantly'. Sad to say but the rude demeanor of only one team member at your hotel really damaged my experience at Niagara Falls as I just did not want to risk interacting with potentially unpleasant individuals who would insinuate that easily I could be lying. I will surely not consider Marriott as a reliable brand any longer and will consider competitors more seriously in the future. As a matter of fact, I had a similar experience with Best Western – which is clearly not the same range of hotel services, and got a much better quality of service with an immediate upgrade, apology and surely nobody telling I was lying.

Family Vacation

This Hotel has large rooms and a great location. We got a room without a view of the falls and were perfectly happy as we paid a lower price. Right outside the front door is a spectacular view of Horseshoe Falls, great for viewing the Fireworks too. The room was so comfortable.
