A Stop Along The Way
Look for something else
We stayed here one night on our way back to the States from Montreal. We were looking for something on a budget. The room was better than what I thought it would be, given the condition of the hallway. The hallway was quite long and not very well lit. When arriving, I had to repeatedly sign papers saying that there would only be 2 people in the room and we would not have a party. Despite that, there was a loud party above us. The room was ok, but I was nervous sleeping in the sheets. I have never seen sheets so threadbare, ever. The tv only had about 3 watchable channels (the rest seemed stuck). We had to pay an extra $10 for parking which was rediculous and just another way to get more money. In the lobby there was a sign for the parking lot to advertise for general parking. It was about 4 blocks from the Falls and I can't imagine anyone just wanting to park there. After taxes and parking, the hotel was $70, which I cannot believe this hotel cost that much. Spend a few more bucks and stay some place else.

Dining tip:
Long walk from hotel
There were chain restuarants (Outback and Applebees) across the street. To walk to the main Clifton Hill area, it was about a mile, up and down a steep hill.

Great location but expensive for really bad room.
We were here sunday night of labor day weekend. I know is a special weekend and the weather was awesome. But we paid $130 for a room that was smelly, kind of clean, the bathroom is a horror movie. If you pay $60, then you expect something like this, for $130 plus $10 for parking, you wish for something a little bit better.

The staff did not tell us that we had to pay extra for parking. Was not very pleased with that.

Great place for a busy short stay
I was worried at first to book a place sight unseen but decided to go with a chain. Days Inn was a good value and turned out to be a good location. You could walk to just about everything. There wasn't a view of the falls but with a short walk and having access to the Oakes Hotel the falls were at your fingertips. The bed was very comfortable. The room was a good size but the decor was a little lacking. It is a somewhat typical motel room but we were on the go so we spent little time there. Just enough to sleep and shower, so I thought it was fine.

All about location
A fantastic location close to everything and for a great value considering the circumstances. Being surrounded by giant hotels that at upwards of $300/night, this was a great catch. It is a Days Inn so dont expect any amazing views, amenities or beautiful furniture, but when your on vaca, whos in the room aside for sleep anyway!? Great location, walking distance to everything from restaurants to the falls and even Clifton hill's nightlife. Good value, but its only that you have to pay a whopping 10 bucks for parking per night that's a little ridiculous. (just park at the restaurant across the street). We were forced to stay an extra night because of a hurricane back home, but the staff was understanding and gave us a discount for our extra night. Overall good choice and i would stay there again, mostly for cost, and definitely for location.

The good, the bad, and the really ugly"
1. Days Inn charged $10.00 for parking each day; however, the parklot looked like a rundown place. 2. They charged phone call which did not go through. 3. No direction on the phone usage. 4. The room was comfortable.

Not as advertised, stayed anyway
Booked at the last minute because another hotel cancelled our reservations. Details state that this hotel is newly renovated -- if so, they need a new contractor! We found paint peeling, wallpaper peeling, and stains on rugs. Also stains on the back of the bedspread (ewww! - but not until the last night of our stay). However, the rooms seemed clean. Bathroom outdated but no ick or hairs or anything bad. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Close to the Falls and within walking distance for people without disability issues. It was what we needed in a pinch - might / might not stay there again but it did look, at least from the outside, to be a better kept up place than some of the hotels around it. We've stayed at other Days Inns and this one was a below what we are used to.
