Venerable Fallsview hotel with many rooms offering views of the falls
The venerable Crowne Plaza Hotel Niagara Falls – Fallsview has been an area favorite for more than 80 years, with refined elegance that never fails to impress and indulge. Many of the guest rooms offer views of both the Horseshoe and American Falls, and an acclaimed restaurant is one of the region's best. Located across the street from the falls and offering indoor connections to Casino Niagara and Fallsview Indoor Waterpark, the hotel is truly first-class convenience.
Highlights
  • Direct indoor connections to Fallsview Indoor Waterpark and Casino Niagara
  • On-site Starbucks
  • Across the street from Niagara Falls
Rooms
The elegant guest rooms are available in a variety of formats and layouts, many with views of both the Horseshoe and American Falls. Room additions include the Deep Sleeper Bed, marble and tile bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, coffee making facilities, working desk, easy chair, cable TV, telephone with voicemail, CD player, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer.
Features
One of the most celebrated hotels in Fallsview, the Crowne Plaza Hotel Niagara Falls – Fallsview has been pampering guests for more than 80 years. Tasteful elegance complemented by a polished and professional staff indulge both business and leisure travelers, all attracted to the coveted, picture-perfect views afforded from the hotel.

Many guest rooms offer views of both the Horseshoe and American Falls. For those that don't, a visit to the hotel's acclaimed restaurant on the 10th floor more than compensates, with its floor-to-ceiling views of the falls (though for the best view, one need only walk outside -- the falls are located across the street).

A shopping concourse hosts a range of stores and boutiques, while an on-site Starbucks provides the perfect java boost throughout the day.

The hotel offers indoor connections to the three-acre Fallsview Indoor Waterpark and to Casino Niagara, appreciated convenience, especially during the frigid winters.

Great location

We stayed here thanksgiving weekend with our 1 year old daughter. The first night we had a tiny room which was difficult with our small child. We asked the front desk the second day if we could move to a larger room and they happily switched us to a room with a living area so we would have more room for the crib. The staff was great and the hotel is in a perfect location. The only negative was the $40 charge for parking. We did have some really loud neighbours but that's to be expected in any hotel. Great spot. We would stay here again but perhaps child free next time!

Clean and functional

As anybody traveling to Niagara Falls knows, the hotel itself is certainly not the main attraction of the trip! The best draw for the Crowne Plaza is the fantastic location; the Canada side of the falls are just a few hundred feet away from the hotel lobby. The rooms in the hotel itself are quite small. The toilet handle was slightly broken (water dripped out), and the elevator briefly broke while we were on board... but otherwise; the hotel was clean and met our needs. While the price for the hotel was about an average value, the location made it well worthwhile.

Dining tip: In Hotel

Highly recommend checking out the restaurant on the 10th floor overlooking the falls, the NY strip and lobster bruschetta were delicious, and the view at sunset was gorgeous.

Okay, if you like tiny rooms with twin beds pushed together

Setting aside the price (Niagara on the weekend of a Canadian holiday and booked last minute isn't cheap), I was a little disappointed by the room. It was tiny, barely big enough to walk around the psuedo-queen bed that takes up most of the space. I say psuedo queen, because it's really not a queen, just two twin beds pushed together. The crevasse in the middle of the two mattresses doesn't make for an ideal night's sleep. Otherwise, the hotel was very nice, right in the heart of all of the tourist attractions near Clifton Hill, and the room was very clean. I just think you can do a little better for the money.

Nice place.

It was ok. Lots of added fees, which ate the discount, such as Internet and parking. Outlets were hard to access in rooms. Perk is convenience. The location is awesome.

Great getaway

The rooms were a little small but very clean and comfortable. It was a little pricey at 200.00 dollars but that was the only problem. Beds were very clean and comfortable

Overall Great Experience

What a wonderful overall experience! From the moment we pulled in there were check-in parking spaces which made it easy. The reception desk was so friendly and offered us an upgrade to a beautiful room with a Jacuzzi, king size bed, and an amazing view of the falls! We could watch the fireworks over the falls from the room, absolutely amazing! Free wifi, free bottled water daily, and easy check out! We were also provided a coupon for the starbucks in the lobby for declining housekeeping during our weekend stay. Would definitely stay at a Crowne Plaza again, especially this one should we visit Niagara Falls again! All of the attractions are within walking distance.

Mini Get-a-way

Asked for a handicap accessible room as my husband is in wheel chair and did not receive it. Supposedly was upgraded to a falls view room, but room was very small and did not accommodate a wheel chair. One of the elevators was out of commission and caused some delay in getting an elevator. Room was clean and staff were very friendly. We were supposed to receive a Globe and Mail each day and did not receive any. Internet was free with Resort Fee but had to sign in as if we were purchasing it. The starbuck's located at the hotel was worst one I have ever been in. Very slow and food items were very cold. We ate dinner in the restaurant on the 10th floor. Excellent meal and view. It was the highpoint of our time at the hotel. The parking ramp was also used by the casino. It did have some handicap spots but not close to the hotel entrance. There was parking close to the hotel however, it was used for casino valet parking. So, getting my husband in and out of the hotel was extremely difficult.

A pleasant winter stay

Have walked past this hotel for 50 years and was never in the building till now. Perfect location, and very accomodating staff. Winter occupancy was low, but without asking the room was quickly upgraded to a view of the falls with a king bed and the parking charge disappeared. You't think I looked like Richard Gere. Anyway, older classic hotel with a slightly small room but very comfortable and otherwise fully up-to-date. Loved the historical photos that grace the walls. Will be back.

a bit expensive for what we got.

Parking s not part of the price. We ended up paying a fortune for 24 hours only $74 to be exact. A rip off!!!!!!!!. Hotel is beautiful. Staff perfect. Parking not!!!
