Convenient location
We picked this hotel because of the location, it was handy for who we were visiting and handy for downtown. The hotel is very dated and a bit drab. We had a corner room with a balcony, great view of the downtown, but balcony was crumbling and gruby, it it made you wonder about its saftey although I am sure it was fine. It is a bit noisy but you are in a city. They need to replace the TVs for flat screen, you can only watch it from the bed.

Not for Business
Was on a business trip for a few days. Unfortunately had to work from the hotel most of the time and it was a nightmare most of the time. Construction sounds all during the daytime from the morning to evening and cant get on the phone without disturbance and internet connection like a dialup. Ice machine making sounds all day and night like ice dropping on a tin sheet... The hotel staff are really nice people but need to be made aware of the meaning of privacy.

Not what it appears
For location it is central with easy access to downtown. Fortunately we did not spend days at this hotel just 2 nights as there is noisy construction right behind this hotel and noisy street in front. Not very sound proof rooms. We were initially given a room next to the elevators and the ice and pop vending machines and when asked for another room were told the rate we had paid for on the internet only covered the block of rooms around the elevators so we got a room behind an elevator with less noise noted than the first one offered. However if wanting a room away from the elevator area, you have to pay to get an "upgrade"- there was not much attention to guest's needs or focus on hospitality from the hotel reception staff. Fortunately the room was clean. The air conditioner was noisy and rattled when kicking in. The lighting in the room was poor. The bathroom had no operating venting fan and the bath was stained. The fitness center and pool were under renovation and this was not advertised on the booking site website. When mentioning to the reception that it was not advertised when we booked we were told that all the travel and hotel booking sites had been notified but we checked before we booked and never saw anything not even on the hotel's own website. Overall we would have preferred to stay elsewhere considering the small poky room, hard queen bed, noisy air conditioner and noisy location not to mention a room in lousy part of hotel. Disappointing experience and we would not stay here again.

Great location!
I went to Vancouver for a medical reason - the hotel was walking distance to the clinic, the Sky Train and a beautiful park. Downtown and shopping very close by. Unfortunately, hotel was booked to capacity and I was stuck with a room that was directly across from the elevators and ice machine, so stay was extremely noisy at all the wrong hours! Breakfast was complimentary (given a $20 credit per room each day regardless of number of guests)-since I was alone was more than adequate. Food was delicious, but rather pricey. Only option in the hotel, so rather limiting.

Perfect for our needs
We came to Vancouver BC on a Saturday to board a cruise ship the following day. It was a pleasant stay and really appreciated the shuttle to the pier. If we ever do that again, we will stay at this location again.

Great location
Came a few days early to go on a cruise. Hotel offered everything we needed and was very professional. The resturant didn't look like much, but the food was excellant. There was a shuttle bus to take us to the ship.

Nice hotel, not too far from the Center.
This hotel was the start of our holiday, well situated between Airport and the Center. Hotel environment is a busy shopping street, no problem in the hotel itself. Good parking accommodation, friendly staff, nice restaurant and bar.

Best trip ever!!!
The hotel itself is quite old. The elevators took a long time and smelled faintly of mildew. These things are pushed out of memory by the wonderful staff who accomodated every need. Bottled water upon check in, luggage storage and great smiles with local advice on where to go. Excellent. Room was nice for the price.
