Good location, Clean & Comfortable
We spent 3 nights here and had a great time in Vancouver. The room was clean and comfortable. The view from the room was no big deal, but the room from the game/spa room was lovely. Security was good and the breakfast was awesome! We had no problems getting cabs. We walked to Gastown from here with no problem.

We Two.
With the Hampton Inn Chain, one cannot
We met with friends we had not seen in almost 40 years. They picked us up at 9.00am and after a grand tour of the city and local area, including the famous Stanley Park, North and West Vancouver, British Properties, Horseshoe Bay including all those ferries. Entertained to both lunch and din ner, what more can either want or say! Except- Vancouver is the most trractive city in this world, and we have seen most of them.

good value
Good location, updated rooms, clean and friendly service at a reasonable rate. Includes a good hot breakfast which is a savings for families. Although no pool is a drawback. They also have a free taxi service to get you to your destinations. The hotel is within a few walking blocks of Gastown, Yaletown and Robson shopping area. Although China Town is close, a fast drive through confirmed it is no longer a tourist destination.

pretty good
We like that it was in the middle of downtown. We also really enjoyed the breakfast. We missed eggs since we started traveling, and Hamptons had eggs!

Short walk from hotel
This hotel was just a short walk from the peer which we could take the "water taxi" to the Grandville Island. We also liked that it was very close to other attractions like "Capilano Suspension Bridge."

Good value
The rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They exchanged small amounts of American cash for Canadian, which was very convenient. The free breakfast and bottled water were a nice plus, as was the ping-pong table in the fitness room.

Spacious accommodations
With the exception of a few staff, the service was excellent. One staff member was particularly helpful in providing information about restaurants and other points of interest in the area. Hotel is adjacent to BC Place and within walking distance of Yaletown and some excellent restaurants. There is a YMCA hostel across the street that serves clients that have a tendency to hang out in the evening. However, this can be fairly easily avoided by walking on other nearby streets.

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
A 10 minute walk to Yaletown will yield some wonderful places to eat. Due to the popularity of the location, I recommend making reservations for a Friday or Saturday evening meal. The Amacord (italian restaurant) was recommended to us one evening. While the food was very good, the service was extremely slow. The restaurant has two seatings (6p and 7:30p) and you can expect to spend every bit of the 1 1/2 hours at the restaurant. Not a bad place to eat if you have the time to dawdle.

Friendly Hotel
Front desk was very helpful with our questions. Their offer to hold our bags while we toured(after we checked out) Vancouver made for a very enjoyable stay.
