Banff is great

Clean and Nice Suite
This place has really good decor. And well appointed suites. Although I cant say the same as their rooms. Which look out inside the complex rather than out on the street or the view. I upgraded to the after staying one night in the room on the ground floor. Suite and was quite nice with a great view.

Cold building, warm staff.
Unusual building built around a massive open air hot tub sited in a central courtyard. All rooms open directly into what was at times - 36C snow filled air. We loved it, but perhaps not for everyone. Staff universally charming & helpful in a genuine way.

Great hotel, monotonous meal
We were long term (7 nite) guests. As a result, the breakfast, although having a variety of choices, the choices NEVER VARIED. Hence, after day 4,looking at strawberry yogurt and chopped fruit AGAIN, IT lost its breakfast appeal. Suggestion:at LEAST CHANGE FLAVORS of cereals and yogurt would have improved the experience..

Sightseeing in Banff National Park
The Fox Hotel is conveniently located to downtown Banff with only a two or three block walk to many very nice restaurants and shopping. The two bed room we stayed in was a bit cramped but we spent most of our time driving and hiking around Canmore, Lake Louise, and driving up the Ice Highway toward Jasper. The beds were comfortable and the spa was terrific. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the local attractions.The included breakfast was nicely done.

If you only have a couple days in the area, there are so many sights and places to visit, make a top ten list. You'll only get to the first 4 or 5 but if you hit the important ones, you'll have no regrets. Consider the helicopter tours for a unique view of the area.

a great getaway
The room was very fitting for our needs. It had a great view and made our vacation complete. The staff was friendly and the facilities were unique and welcoming. The pool area was a great place to unwind.

Awesome hotel - well worth it!
The staff at the Fox was so customer-service oriented and more than willing to help us with anything. They helped us make arrangements to go hiking, canoeing, whitewater rafting, soaking (hot springs), and flying (gondola ride). The scenery in the Banff/Lake Louise area is more magnificent than I've ever seen. However, be warned- the food and activities in the area are fairly pricey (so it's nice that a continental breakfast is included at Chili's in the hotel)! Also, we had really great food and service at The Keg and Deer Lodge restaurants, but all others had very slow, non-accommodating service (The Bison, The Elk and Oarsmen, etc). As for the Fox Hotel, it is up-to-date and clean, and the location is fine... but it is set apart from the rest by the unprecendented speed and service of the staff. I would highly recommend it.

Perfect Vacation in Banff
We visited Lake Loiuse and Morraine Lake and surrounding Banff area for 3 days. We loved the location of the hotel and friendly staff. I would recommend to add omlett with breakfast and take away sweet biscuit or a item of fruit variety.

I didn't check anyother hotel prices but Fox seems to be reasonable for the busy summer season.
