Rooms were terrible! Bedding wasn't changed from previous guest!
We had a very bad experience at this hotel. The great customer service at this hotel doesn't compensate for its poor quality. We stayed 3d/2n and had a different room each night: Day 1: Air condition was broken which made it sound like a jet plane was landing in our room. The street outside was very noisy and mosquitos kept coming in so we had to sleep without AC and the windows closed. Day 2: We found human body hair (of the personal type) and bodily fluids on our bed. When we notified the staff they initially dropped off bedding and told us to change it. My friend ended up just sharing my bed with me. However, the next morning the manager came in and inspected the bed. He upgraded us and refunded our room for one night. Disgusting!

Dining tip:
Short walk from hotel
Keep a strong eye on your surroundings and never leave each others side. We were very cautious and had everything secure on ourselves or zipped up in her purse, but my wife was targeted while I went to the restroom on our first day at an outside restaurant in Copacabana. The staff cleaned the table, brought the bill, and a street vendor flashing maps and license plates in front of her when I returned. When it came time to paying the bill, her wallet was gone, and we lost a good amount of money. Like everyone says, only keep on you what you plan to use that day. It was unfortunate we could not check into our hotel room yet, and just came from the currency exchange, hard to tell it we were tailed too? There was also a police officer in the restaurant while this happened. They would not do a thing for us, even speaking the language. Bad first day, but the rest of the 5 days were wonderful.

Great location and friendly staff
This hotel has a very friendly staff and the room we had was a deluxe and was on the side of the hotel with a view of the beach and a view of the Christ Statue. The room was nice and clean and the breakfast was nice with a larger selection. But it is the same selection every day. But still a large selection. The only down side I have for this hotel is the cost of the internet is very expensive. $15 a day plus 15%. And you are only allowed one device per room. If you need internet this may not be the hotel for you. But if you want a nice safe place with courteous service then it is a nice place to stay.

Right on the Beach,
I enjoyed my stay here, The Deluxe room that I received was huge and has amazing views of the ocean! The lobby was always packed and even with 3 check in staff, things seem very unefficient, so expect lines and waits for check in and check out. I do not like that they charge for internet!! that thats always upsetting! Breakfast buffet was always well presented, with a decent selection, just average size. for me nothing particular special.

Average hotel - great location
Brazil is an expensive country. Nothing to do about this. The staff at this hotel is fine, and most importantly speak English well. The real benefit of the hotel, however, is that it is right on Copacabana. You can't beat that. The hotel is fine, but don't expect luxury compared with what you pay. But I would overall recommend it.

Great place to stay in Copocabana
The people at this hotel are great!! They really seemed to make sure that every need is met. The room was large and clean. This is not a five star hotel, but is safe and clean. The location is accross the street from the beach. The bar and resteraunt are a little pricey, but there are plenty of options in walking distance.

If you go out towards the beech and make a left, there are two great resteraunts one block down. One is Italian and one has a large outdoor eating area with great Brazilian food.
