Not sure we would go back

Good things - great, spacious rooms great views of the harbour great pool (but small) gets crowded easily nice staff at the front desk, everyone is very nice Not so great things - -You have to take a shuttle to the beach and since the vans only fit 4 people you could wait 30min-1 hour for the next shuttle. Very annoying -Nothing is walking distance and the shuttles/taxis are not very dependable (and don't run on Sunday) -taxi downtown is $24 roundtrip so add that to a night past 8:20pm since the free shuttles stop running then -One of the restaurant hosts turned us away for dinner because we were wearing dressy flip flops, only to allow another party in who was wearing flip flops. it was just rude especially since our dinner was $180 after we went back to change. he was the only person who was not polite and helpful.

great location even better suites

This resort is in a great location with their own ferry to Hamilton, with free morning and evening runs, from there the ability to go anywhere in the island. Their 1 bedroom suite is to die for, with awesome kitchen facilities and absolutely gorgeous views of the bay, Hamilton and one of the biggest harbors in Bermuda. However, if you did not have the ability to make your own meals and you did not wish to stay in Hamilton, you had to go hungry because on Friday & Saturday their only restaurant was closed. Throughout our stay the bar was closed completely. Everyone tried to be extremely kind, thoughtful and eager to answer any of your questions, from the front desk, housekeeping and restaurant staff. The housekeeping staff went above and beyond; with daily changes of your bed linens & bath towels and a completely cleaned suite as well. While this resort tried very hard to please, it would have been nice to know that there was no restaurant beforehand.

Anniversary weekend getaway

We had an incredible weekend trip. We were first-time visitors to Bermuda and thanks to the Newstead we are going to be returning visitors. We arrived late Friday and were nearly too late for dinner, but the staff at the Beau Rivage were so accomodating and the dinner was incredible! What a fabulous start to our stay. The mussels appetizer was the best I've ever had, and the Scallops were to die for. (We also couldn't resist breakfast there two days in a row. The best Eggs Benedict I've ever had as well!) The suite was perfect, conveniently located on the Harbor for wonderful views all times of day. The favorite part for us was the EXCELLENT food to be had at the restaurant on site- Beau Rivage. We enjoyed an early nine-holes on the Belmont golf course and enjoyed the afternoon shopping in Hamilton. Sunday we took the shuttle to Horseshoe Bay for a wonderful morning exploring the beauty of the pink sand beaches. Sunday evening we walked about 15 minutes from Newstead to Elbow Beach and had cocktails on the beach at the Seabreeze before a luxurious evening at the Seahorse Grill. The tasting menu was the perfect end to our weekend getaway.

Incredible. Beau Rivage must be among the best dining spots on the island!
