Not exactly four stars
Hotel was ok, definitely not anything to write home about. Of course the activities and beach were great at Atlantis and I guess that is most of what you pay for at this resort, but I would give the room at the coral towers three stars at most. The resort was great for families, but you might want to look elsewhere if you want a real beach beach vacations. Prices for food and entertainment at the resort was astronomical!

Great Getaway!!
Fantastic trip!! Lots of great amenities for everyone to enjoy. The Coral Towers location was perfect and close to everything. My only complaint with the hotel was the shower pressure was horrible....otherwise everything was very comfortable. Everything was very expensive so the "Taste of Atlantis" promo was great and made us try the different restaurants. I would definitely go back!! Went in April and the weather was perfect!!

Good places needs to improve attention
Place is amazing but personnel is ofren rude. As a 15% gratuity is included anyway, they don't give an excellent attention. In 3 days we experience 5 times personnel talking among them in restaurants and attractions while we where waiting with other people our plates or to be attended. We're definitely not going back

Set your sights higher
Check in, everybody's got their hand out. Hotel looks more like a cheap motel. Needs facelift. Front door did not lock, safe in room pulled off wall. Took 2 days and 3 "engineers" to fix. Insisted that we wait in our room for the repairs. Just what I wanted to do on vacation. They did compensate $75 for our inconvenience. Wow. The resort is spectacular. Expensive but spectacular. Second time there. Upgrade to Royal Towers or Villas, it's worth the difference. Cab from airport easy. $36 for 3 people. Nice, safe ride. If you like fish and water, go!

Short walk from hotel
There is a small mall with a liquor store, pharmacy, general store, dunkin doughnuts across from the marina walk. Buy supplies there or spend $7 for a bottle of water or $17 for sunscreen at the resort.

Spring break with family
Very nice hotel, with spectacular views of the ocean, wonderful pools and we spent most of our time around the water slide area, doing the 'lazy river' and enjoyed the mojitos in a very relaxed atmosphere. Even the 'pop music' was enjoyable. Food #as expected# was a bit pricey, but we dealt with it.

The hotel was ok, the Amenities and grounds are great
The hotel is just above average but the water park, beach and beautiful grounds outside more than make up for it. So I would give the whole thing 4 stars. Food is a bit of a challenge if you don't want to spend a fortune. The Marketplace buffet in the Royal Towers is great for breakfast but at $68 for two people it's a little pricey. The Marketplace also does a dinner buffet but as $112 for two its far too expensive and the dinner selection is poor. You would do better to dine at the Marina Village or better yet the local Fish Fry on the far side of town. The taxi ride to and from the Fish Fry plus dinner for two at one of the great local restaurants would cost much less than the cost of dinner on the Atlantis property. The hotel staff are great and the locals are great too....

If you are a family of 4 or more, it is more economical to eat at one of the two family style restaurants which are Carmine's and Virgils.
