Not worth the money

The Wyndham needs to up date their web site. The room was filthy, the staff and house keeping were lazy. The Wyndham name takes a serious negative hit on this place. I personally would never book another Wyndham hotel. The swim up bar was non-existent, The pool was filthy and a bird bath for the sea gulls.

Great location, would come back again!

We enjoyed our stay at the Wydham Hotel. Although the rooms were on the older side and could use renovations, it wasn't anything that would prevent us from returning. We were able to take a cab to the downtown area, which wasn't too far from us, as well as to the Atlantis which was only 15 minutes away. There is shopping right across the street and we were able to easily go to the Melia Hotel which is basically attached to our hotel. The pool was nice and it has a water slide, which was fun.

Not a good trip.

Did not get the hotel we booked.Very disappointed.First night we found a broken bed not happy, could not sleep after the along day. Second day had to move to another room.Third day no wash clothes.Fourth day no balcony chairs.Fifth day no wash clothes..As you can see had to call for something each day. Not happy at all with the reservations which help to make a very dissatisfying trip.If i could get a refund i would be a little more satisfied..

Stay Away

This hotel is rated 1 out of 5. The hotel has potential for being a great one however, I think it may be going out of business. There is a thirty eight dollars per night room stay in addition to your room paid for by my travel service as well as $9 per night for maids service. Both of these charges were not disclosed to me until I reached the hotel and was checking out and got my bill. I found this to be a great disregard for my ability to pay. I think this should be made up front to me. This hotel was not worth the price as a matter of fact my travel service should reimburse me for this stay. It was a disaster. Thank you.

Honeymoon

Our experience in the Wyndham Nassau Resort was beautifuuuuuuuuul, more than what we expected. We spent our 10 day honeymoon period there and were able to travel to the local areas... beach, restaurants, local supermarket, Christian church, snorkeling, Paradise Island, Starbucks, tour on the bus, taxi, local Vacation villa events.. and when we stayed in it was still beautfiuuul with our oceanview room, breakfast in our private balcony, cuddling in the hammock, playing floor checkers on the beach or enjoying a piña colada by the pool to some nice Caribbean music :) The people were friendly and loving, once we shared we were newlyweds, they shared so much words of encouragement. The only thing that was not a plus is that the local restaurants closes early and the Resort's restaurant is a little expensive but there's the option to bring home left overs or order an addtnl plate to take home ;-)

Affordable Comfort

The hotel is dated. However the rooms were clean and well-appointed. The views in C Tower were amazing (we were on the 10th fl). The onsite restaurants were too pricey and the amenities such as swim-up bar and outdoor grill were not in service. The beach behind the hotel is very peaceful and not crowded; the sand is clean and the waters very calm. The pool was deserted most days but the slide was operational and lots of fun.

didn't meet my expectations

Nice beach, good location. Me, and my friends were disappointed because the info for the hotel was not correct. The Beach house, restaurant, and pool bar didn't work for the 2 weeks we stayed in the hotel. There is not Night club, as the hotel info states. Also there is only one restaurant working at a time. People are friendly, but service is very slow.

bed bugs

I had read the other reviews, but my husband and I are pretty laid back and easy going. We wanted a beautiful beach (which this has), and a decent/comfy bed to sleep in. The hotel is a little dated and worn, but nothing horrible. We were pleased with our oceanfront room (c917). The bed was comfy, and the views were great. The juice bar across the street was fun and the bus was very easy and cheap to get to downtown/fish fry. The first night we noticed some bites and thought they were probably mosquitoes. The second night my husband woke with 30 odd looking bites (I also had some but less). We went downstairs to use wifi and it was obvious that the bites were from bed bugs. We let the front desk know, and they moved us to another room and offered us breakfast the next morning. They investigated and said they thought it was probably just mosquitoes. Later the third night my husband developed a rash over 75% of his body which is common with bed bug bites. We left the next day and had to go to urgent care when we got back in the states. We also had to get rid of our clothes from the trip. I would have been happy with the hotel choice, but I am still scratching from the bed bugs.

Runcation Fun

The staff at this hotel was extremely personable and friendly however the amenities such as restaurants were limited regarding hours of operation. The location on cable beach was GREAT, public transportation was convenient and inexpensive and it allowed us to see so much of the island.
