Perfect family getaway
Hotel had pleasant staff, a bit strict with the beach towels. There were various activities scheduled everyday such as a DJ by the pool, movie night outside, poolside BBQ, steel drum band, etc.. Our only issue was a damaged bed in the room and they immediately repaired the problem. Overall this was a very good value. I would recommend this Hotel to family and friends and we would return.

Not worth it.
The room itself was fine but $40 a night in fees ontop of the rate you are already paying for the room is ridiculous. That coupled with the fact that they are charging $9 for even the local beer (a simple lager found everywhere) is absurd. Definitely won't stay there again or recommend staying there.

I'll never stay here again
Don't under estimate the reviews describing the hike to your hotel room. I have asthma, requested a room near an elevator - was told those are reserved for 'preferred guests". The exacerbation pretty much ruined my vacation. That and the hotel staff up at 7am reserving all the lounge chairs under the umbrellas for those "preferred guests". The food was sub par in every restaurant we tried. The balcony was pie shaped and had no furniture to sit and enjoy - what's the point?! Nothing here to make this hotel a great place to stay.

Good Value. Nice people.
We just returned yesterday (Apr 5,2013) from our trip. The hotel was comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and there was always something to do. They had a desk in the lobby who helped us set up tours. We took the dolphin tour and the snorkeling tour. I highly recommend the snorkeling tour with "Flying Cloud". It was worth every penny. I am so glad we chose this hotel over Atlantis. The location was great. We were able to catch a bus or a taxi into town whenever we wanted (less than a 10 minute drive). The food was very expensive but I knew that going in. If I were to return I might rent a refrigerator and buy some food at the market to save a little $. Also there were other nearby alternatives for lunch and dinner like the fish fry which were not as expensive. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend and would love the chance to go back someday.

I won't stay here again
I have asthma - was denied a room near an elevator because I am not a "preferred guest". Leaving me the option of climbing the 6 flights of stairs or walk to the end of the hotel, wait 5-10 minutes for the only working elevator, then walk to the other end again where my room was. If that wasn't abad enough, the hotel staff starts saving beach chairs for their "special guests" at 7am. If you want a chair on the beach, you'd better be down there to compete with them for a chair at 7am!! The food was expensive and sub par to boot!

Very poor service for its price
The hotel building is very old. The room is not spacious and for a family of four was rather small. The partial ocean view was actually no view. The carpet on the room was sticky and dirty. We had to ask for towels almost every day as when they took them they did not replace them. The room did not have a refrigerator as there is in the room description and when we asked for one they said they would send one if there was one available and they would charge for it. They also charge for the Internet in the room which is really unacceptable after all these money you pay for the room. The food in the hotel restaurants is super expensive! In the pool there were never towels (they always ran out of them) . In general, we did not enjoy our stay there and we wish we had stayed in another hotel.

Terrible experience. Not a 4-star hotel
The hotel is described as 4-star but it is far from that. Probably the only good thing about the hotel is its location, right in front of Cable beach, which is amazing. Apart from that, almost everything else was bad. The staff was rude. The room was not clean when we arrived and they didn't clean it the next day. We had to complain in order to get the room cleaned. The hotel was kind of expensive, which would have been reasonable for a normal 4-star hotel, but not for this one. We ate twice in the hotel and the service was really slow. Even worse, they include a mandatory 15% tip in all checks. The highlight, though, was that they were charged as twice for things that we got. More specifically, one night we sat at the bar to eat something and get a drink. When we got the check, there was a duplicate charge for my plate. Of course we called the manager, who fixed the error and didn't charge us for the drinks, which was nice. However, the same thing happened when I paid the hotel charges. The had charged us an extra breakfast. We, of course mentioned it to the manager, who, again, fixed it and removed some charges from our bill. Still, though, this happened twice. They are either trying to take advantage of us or very reckless. Either way, make sure to check your charges twice if you stay there, which I wouldn't recommend.
