Great 3 Star Hotel for a Great Price!!!
We stumbled upon this Resort after debating on booking a Top Secret Hotel deal via [...]. Although we did not know what we would've been put in if we went with Top Secret deal-- we must say that we're SO PLEASED that we decided to book with the SandyPort Resort. Once we arrived we were upgraded to a studio(at no additional cost) which worked out perfectly. The studio included a kitchenette with all pots, pans, glass & dinnerware included. This allowed us to cook our own meals and save TONS of $$$ instead of eating out every night (the maid also does the dishes)! The Room itself was big enough for us not to trip over each other and the patio added a special bonus for us to enjoy our home cooked meals outside. We stayed pool side for a the first few days and then decided to walk to SandyPort and Cable Beach the rest of the days (just across the street). The beaches as well as pool side were deserted and allowed us time all to ourselves with the Ocean,Beach and Pool. The pool is very clean and maintained. There is also two water slides that offer a few photo ops and good times. The Resort property itself is absolutely gorgeous. The lagoon that runs in from the ocean also has some beach areas that you may decide to take up if the pool doesn't suit your fancy. There is a Laundry Room on site but the Change machine is busted so we had to get a roll of quarters from the Bank (which is also just a 5 minute walk). Our room was also missing the remote for the TV but we never even called to ask for another (not a big deal). Our flight departure was later than our checkout time. The front desk allowed us to store our luggage (locked in a room) and to come back for it upon our departure. They also offered to prepare a room for us if we wanted to shower before we left at no charge. There is a Energy Surcharge and Maid Gratuity that was due when we left. We stayed for 7 days & it was just under $200. The Resort will call a Taxi for you if you'd like. There is a flat rate set by the Gov't going to and from certain locations. It is $18 to and from the airport (by the way, at the airport it doesn't say SandyPort-the closest is Cable Beach which is the same area).Get yourself a travel lock. The security safe is way to small to hold any serious valuables and we took a lot of electronics (digi & videocam,laptop,etc...)plus bought several expensive gifts and locked them under the TV cabinet with the travel lock for piece of mind. All in all this was a great deal for a 3 start Resort as I have tried to convey in detail for everyone's advantage. Be sure to have your garbage taken out daily if you are cooking or eating in the room as ants can and will take over if you are not careful (as ants do in any place in the world).

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Go to the Grocery Store and cook your own food to save yourselves from the $70 dinners and $50 lunches everyday. Although the food at the store is higher priced than in the US it still beats the Island Restaurant food prices. If your into blowing some serious coin on food...then you will have an opportunity at every dine in location!!! Bone-apetite!

Friends and Family Vacation
We spend most of the day relaxing at the beach, and swimming in the ocean. We also watched the sunset from the pier. The swimming pool and ping pong tables and other actvities were very enjoyable. Our bedroom was equipped with a jacuzzi and with two large sinks and a very nice bathroom which made our stay very pleasant.

Diamond in the rough
Went down to Bahamas for a friends wedding at Sandals. I booked Sandyport a couple night before i left. Place was clean, hot water, friendly staff, etc... no frills, but no disappointing. Hotel is also across the street from the Beach Club cafe, or Beach club restaurant, which is some of the best food, and nicest places to eat on the Island. Highly recommended, and will definately return.

Amazing Stay at Sandy Port!
If you are looking for a quite and very nice getaway this place is perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lady Sara is the BEST!!!! She is remarkable in her kindness, and attention to detail. If i could meet someone like her when ever we travel it would be AWESOME! She will help you find anything and set up all the activities you could possibly want. Rose is the sweetest house keeper they have! Dale is a amazing lady also. She heard that i loved peas and rice and she personally made some for me!!! Which i will cherish that forever! Cleveland the chef all i can say if that man opened up a restaurant it would be a five star all the way! If you just let him cook for you once you will see what i am talking about. Over all this resort was awesome! It is out of the way from all the busyness(which is what we like) but yet you can catch the bus down town to where ever thing is.

If you are wondering what to get into while you are there you should go to the blue lagoon. It is AMAZING! you can swim with the dolphins and sea lions! it's a private island and can only get to it by boat. a must see in my opinion!

Good time
Resort was the most reasonably priced place around and was very satisfactory. It would be nice if other restaurants were nearby, but the resort food is fine.

Great Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at the Sandyport Beaches Resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Whatever we needed, they were there to accommodate. The room was very neat and clean. We had a nice and quiet stay. We had fun on the beach and Chef Cleveland who runs an outdoor restaurant at the resort was great. When we visit Nassau again, we will definitely stay at the Sandyport Beaches Resort. Thumbs up to a great resort!!!!
