The Westin Resort & Casino, Aruba

This hotel was wonderful. The pool is amazing and it's right on the beach. It's close to a few restaurants, bars and a market place. The only I would suggest is that they start offer beachside massages like the nieghboring Divi Resort. They gave me Champagne and lunch for my birthday which was more than I could ask for. The staff is super friendly and willing to offer suggestions for places to go and see during your stay on the island. Definitely a great place to stay while you're in Aruba!

just got back from our trip. loved the westin! the people who work there are so nice, everyone was helpful and pleasant. great location, near the cute shopping strip, close to restaurants and right on the beach. the only complaint is that the beach is a little small and crowded, but most of the beaches on the high rise strip are. it was a minor issue, the beach is so beautiful, you can walk over a little and have the whole beach to yourself. last time i stayed at the marriot which was much more crowded and full of kids. the rooms were clean and comfortable, and as soon as you call and ask for something they send it right over. would stay at the westin again.

A good three star but just not up to Westin standards - no one thing can be faulted completely. Unfortunate location/ building design that funnels wind to hurricane velocity. Beach becomes a sandblast. Wifi was poor throughout hotel. Ok if dicounted as it should be which is true of Aruba in general.

For the price I would recommend staying at the Radisson or Marriott. The Westin was just average, nothing special .

From Sam at the door & Frank inside at the desk you couldn’t ask for more helpful staff. Rooms were ready upon arrival, Beds & Pillows were the best ever!!! Casino on site is nice as well as Andre J. was very helpful. All in all a great stay and get away just before the holidays.

Great beach, shops, and restaurant access, the rooms are a little dated but the rooms are clean and the service was good.

Overall, we had a good stay at the Westin. We were able to upgrade our room to a Westin Workout Room at check in. The bell staff was friendly and helpful. There were a few problems though. There was a power outage on the island during our stay and there was no communication from the hotel regarding when power would be restored. A simple sign placed in the lobby with an estimated time of power restoration would have been helpful. Once power was restored, we were without television service for an additional day. I requested that the hotel provide us with a dvd to watch in lieu of cable service. They replied that they had no dvd players on the premises. I informed the hotel staff that we did, in fact, have a dvd player in our room and they were very surprised and stated that they had no knowledge of any hotel rooms equipped with dvd players, nor did they have any dvd's on site. We also experienced rude service from the waiters in Baci restaurant on the hotel premises. The first night we had dinner at Baci, the waiter was very annoyed that we chose to be seated in the lobby area, rather than inside of the restaurant. On the second night, we requested to order from both the adult and child's menu, because we preferred to order hamburgers which were not available on the adult menu. The waiter refused our order, stating that if he allowed us to have burgers, all of the other patrons would also want to order burgers. He insisted that the only way we could have the hamburgers was to order them to go. We agreed to this concession and ordered salads to have on the premises and the burgers as a take out order. The waiter, however, prepared all of our food to go and escorted us from the restaurant.

The beach front is beautiful and easily accessible. The size of the pool was very accommodating to all guests. People were very helpful organizing tours and making restaurant reservations. We ate at Bacci...great service and delicious food. Absolutely no complaints!!!!!! Room size was excellent for three travelers.

the wesrin has a really great beach..we went all-inclusive and the food was great with big portions...on mondays the general manager hosts a cocktail party ar 5pm..he is an awesome guy...on the return trip we cleared us cutoms in aruba then could purchase duty-free...there were plenty of people buying tons of stuff because they had already submitted their declarations..the duty free is cheaper after you clear customs too
