Lots of upgrades at this recently renovated Palm Beach gem
This Westin Aruba Resort, on 7.5 acres of white sands in Palm Beach, encased by lush gardens and swaying palm trees, recently had a $22 million renovation. Guestrooms and suites have been upgraded with new furnishings and amenities including 32-inch flat screen TVs, marble baths, custom bath products and pillow-topped beds. The resort is home to a 12,000 square-foot Casablanca Casino, which received 200 new state-of-the-art slot machines. The 8,500 square-foot pool received new teak furniture. Exaggerated claims or rip off
We reserved and paid for a premium oceanview room with a king bed. When we checked in, the desk clerk insisted that we had a partial oceanview room. I showed our receipt for the premium room and had to find a way for her to get a copy before she decided to offer a better room but could only get 2 double beds. We were given on room on the 10th floor (guestrooms are on floors 5-18) with a view of the ocean over the parking lot, construction debris, and neighboring hotel. The balconies are very small - room for 2 small chairs and 1 sq. ft. table which had to be moved to get onto the balocony. One open air public area for dining or drinks. Others are in enclosed lobby areas. Location is ok. Housekeeping staff, bellmen, and serving staff were all great.

Soenchi's Aruban Cuisine. Really good food, great personnel, nice decor. We went twice in one week and enjoyed both meals immensely.

westin aruba
after we arrived at the westin aruba we were told there were no reservations. they said [...] never sent them the reservation. after over 1 hour they found us a less expensive room for the night and the next day they upgraded us to an ocean frong suite. the people at the westin were nothing but fabulous. luckily i had the printout reservation from [...]. i have been staying at the westin for quite a few years and it has always been a very good resort.

Fantastic Family Getaway
Right on the beach! Staff went out of their way to make every aspect of this vacation memerable. Exceptionally clean. Will definately recommend this to friends.

Westin Aruba Trip 11/4 - 11-16
We were unaware that casino would be closed during our visit. This caused us to leave the hotel facilities and go to casinos and dinner away from the Westin Hotel. Also we were not allowed to use the pool area during the late afternoon on a couple of days because the Hotel was restricting the pool area use to a conference group. We felt this was very unfair especially because the beach area was almost non existent and an unsafe swimming area due to a recent storm. Hotel employees were very pleasant Not happy with pool dining and menus were not up to date

Relaxing stay
Very friendly service, our room was not available when we arrived but they offered a free meal voucher. The rest of the stay was very nice and relaxing.

Simply Fabulous Hotel
The welcome was warm and friendly. The bellman who took our luggage to our room was like an ambassador for Aruba. The room was excellent in cleanliness and well appointed..Great sea and pool view. The Staff everywhere in the hotel were truly fantastic both in service and caribbean charm. Only one of the restaurants in the whole was somewhat poor in service. Pago Pago restaurant was 5 Star for food and service. The Pool was sparkling and clean everyday...lots of towels..not enough lounge chairs.. The wole experience was simply fabulous

what you expect from the westin
Pros: -nicely renovated. it as the new modern feel to it. -the front concierge happily made reservations for us at different restaurants. this came in handy since i'd get roaming charges calling myself from my cell phone or call charges from my room. -free wifi (daily signup) enough speed (384kbps) to check my email, facebook, twitter, etc. -happy hour at 4pm had cheap drinks -the pool and beach front is beautiful. have to get there early to get seats. cons: -they messed up on our reservation at the spa which we were really looking forward to. -aruba in general does not usually give out free refills on beverages, neither did the westin -the resort is at the end so you have to travel longer places to get to most of the restaurant spots. -the business center printer did not work -bring bug repellent, they feasted on me and my wife!

We rented a car and got out the map. See it all! There are many breathtaking sights like the lighthouse area, the natural bridge. We enjoyed sunset from many different locations, all wonderful.

Plenty of swimming and near by waters sports! The beach is great! Can walk along the back of the hotels and beach to bar hop and see the different resorts, each has something different to offer! Get a car and hit a supermarket!! Drinks and food is very exspensive!! You can bring your on beer and snacks where ever you go! Shopping is very close by, tons of restaurants and shops! The Westin offers games and contests pool side, live entertainment was really good! Mixed drinks 9.50, beers 6.50 a pop for 10oz beers!! Staff is great and hotels is very nice and clean. Would stay again!
