Lots of upgrades at this recently renovated Palm Beach gem
This Westin Aruba Resort, on 7.5 acres of white sands in Palm Beach, encased by lush gardens and swaying palm trees, recently had a $22 million renovation. Guestrooms and suites have been upgraded with new furnishings and amenities including 32-inch flat screen TVs, marble baths, custom bath products and pillow-topped beds. The resort is home to a 12,000 square-foot Casablanca Casino, which received 200 new state-of-the-art slot machines. The 8,500 square-foot pool received new teak furniture. the price was right but.....
Having been to aruba several times,i was aware of the importance of getting up early to secure a hut on the beach. At checkin i asked the person at the front desk at the westin aruba the policy. He told me i HAD to pay to rent one. I later found out from another honest worker that if i got up early enough there were plenty of huts at no cost. we got the same front row hut($45)for free 5 days in a row. If you call anonymously i bet they wont tell you about this. They struck me as being very dishonest.

Honeymoon Advice
Aruba is a great place to go for a honeymoon, but not a budget vacation by any means. Be prepared to spend over $60 at breakfast and lunch and well over $120 on dinner. Westin has great food, the best beach front, and above average accommodations. However, it has a below average casino and limited planned events. (Some of the other hotels had more planned events such as team volleyball and cookouts, etc.) It really depends on what you want, but overall a great place.

THIS WESTIN NEEDS ALOT OF WORK
THE STAFF WAS GREAT. THIS HOTEL WAS ONCE A WYNDHAM. THE BATHROOMS AND OUTSIDE OF THE HOTEL-INCLUDING THE POOL AREA AND OUTSIDE RESTAURANT NEED ALOT OF WORK. THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL WESTIN.

Aruban traveler
Family summer vacation.
We enjoyed our stay at the Westin Aruba Resort.The beds were wonderful and the room was spacious and clean. The bathroom however needed to be renovated.The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. The best part is the location and the beach is magnificent. It was definitely a good value and would consider going again.

One Happy Island
We really enjoyed our stay at the Westin. We only wish we had more time to explore more of the island. The staff was exceptionally gracious and helpful. The view from our balcony was amazing. The beach was beautiful and not too crowded. It was a beautiful place and an amazing vacation spot. We are already planning our next visit.

Location good
Location is fine but everything is overpriced! Rooms need upgrade. Staff was pleasant. However, I've traveled in the subcontinent a bunch and those hotels just put this one to shame. Not really worth the value/cost in my opinion.

They didn"t have my reservation
I booked the trip through [...]3 days before i checked in. Jetblue gave me a standby boarding pass. Wasn't happy about this. Than i upgraded to the extra room seats 55 dollars each. On the way back they gave me seats opposite each other across the aisle not together. This was a big failure. Next i go to the hotel and they don't have my reservation, they copied my [...]travel document and charged me for the room on my credit card. Three days later the Westin hotel said it was a problem with their reservations department. Than they refunded me. The Westin the tv chanels are all fuzzy. You have to book a hut on the beach 2 days in advance. This trip i booked through [...]was horrible. It goes on and on

Baby beach is wonderful except for the energy plant blowing smoke, pollution in the air. What a eyesore for a beautiful beach. Nearby they are using windpower. Rent a jeep not a car

Great place to stay
The hotel is great, it has its own beach. The staff were very attentive and everything turned out great. Didn't have any problems at all.
