Excellent preparation for wedding I attended. Food excellent. Appetizer AA.Lamb Chops crowned King

Best Vacation Ever!!! Autonomy of establishing my own routine - gym, Zumba, shopping, cook my 16 minute favorite, swim and dine. Not to mention the tours. Lots of fun. The variety of daily and nightly activities provided much fun. Dancers, sax, band engaging us. Offering to take snapshots with and for us added to the excitement. The staff and trolley drivers were both fun and accommodating, they should be tipped some more. They deserve it. I strongly recommend to friends and those seeking a safe and healthy fun filled vacation. I observed it was family friendly, as well.

Short stay

Stayed at Divi for just 2 days to extend my vacation. I have done this multiple times at other establishments and the fact that I was already in Aruba was always accommodated with a reasonable early check-in. This time it was terrible. Couldn't get into my upgraded room to the golf Villas until after 4pm. I was told the bellman would put my luggage in storage and found it unloaded and sitting at the front door after we had come back from lunch. The service at the Seabreeze lunch was not very good. The golf villas were nice rooms, very high amenities, if you want a golf course view but I come to Aruba for the beach. I found the only pleasant staff were the bellman on my arrival date. Not my idea of an Aruba vacation. Was in a ground floor suite with 3 sets of sliding doors to 2 patio's which were very difficult to get open due to the security measures. Warnings that security could test your sliders for being locked.

I love the food and atmosphere at the El Gaucho restaurant. It has been around for years and we make at least 1 visit per year.

Winter Break

Great time. The hotel is across the street from one of the best beaches in Aruba. Since it is not in the high rise district the beach is not crowded which is nice. The room was clean and back by the Infinity Pool and bar. A welcome break after a day on the beach. Mulligans restaurant is a great place to grab a meal or a casual snack while overlooking the golf course. Downtown shopping and the restaurants in the High Rise area are only a short taxi ride away. I recommend the Divi Golf and Beach if you are looking for a quiet vacation in a pristine location.

Aruba Vacation

Great spot to relax. Golf and beach in February. Perfect for New Englanders who want to get away from the snow. Beach not as packed as Palm beach. Taxi rides can take you anywhere you need to go. Pricey but worth it.

Divi Village

It was an enjoyable vacation but I wouldn't necessarily say it was enhanced by Divi. The staff was mostly lethargic and uncaring. The attention to detail has obviously become lacking with current management. Touch up painting was shoddy or in need. Cabinetry could have used refinishing in a few spots. And routine trash pickup around the grounds could have been better. There was a time share sales pitch of course. Two of the couples I was there with we're able to avoid it. They say it takes an hour, and after 2 hrs we decided to end it before the tour... Looked to be an additional hour in our future. Wifi did not work near our building and after complaining (politely) and witnessing other complaints occurring we gave up on that issue and it seemed the staff did as well. I'd imagine it would be nice for a golfer (who doesn't mind 120 a round). The course looked nice. Also... It was close to a nice quiet beach, but all beaches are public in Aruba so you needn't stay in a particular resort to utilize their beach and it seems, in most cases, their restaurants their restaurants as well. We opted to pay for all meals and drinks a la carte and saved a bundle. 130 each... Since we had a rental car, we got to try a lot of different restaurants and enjoy exploring the northern and eastern parts of the island, which are beautifully rocky with waves crashing against the rocks. Probably our favorite restaurant was a hole-in-the-wall isolated seaside gem in Arikok park. And in the park, park your rental at the Shete entrance (go to main entrance/visitors entrance first however to get pass) and hike 45 minutes to the natural pool with medium difficulty. Bring water. Getting to the natural pool ourselves saved us about 100 per person which practically payed for our rental all 8 days. The island made this vacation, certainly not Divi. But is was a nice base of operation and an occasional meal or beer at their Mulligans bar was enjoyable.

It was a very friendly place to stay.

Hotel staff was very helpful. I think that the breakfast buffet was kind of expensive. I would have liked it if they had a breakfast that you could have just ordered what you wanted and not a buffet. Had supper their one night it was very good.

Good Getaway

The Divi Resort was very nice. We had a first floor room with a "garden" view it was very clean and quiet. Stove, fridge freezer etc is nice but no Microwave. A little in room basket with a ration of coffee etc. would be a nice touch since the coffee at Mulligans is pretty bad. Te food however was good at lunch the one time we ate there. We were in room 8102, next to the lobby and a 2 minute walk to the beach or 3 pools. Nice convenient store in lobby and the prices are not crazy for a resort hotel. Pools annd beach were spotless but tought to find a chair or tiki hut on beach if you dont get there early. $9 cab ride downtown or to high rise district. Very convenient.

The Driftwood has great fish. downtown was a bit quiet on Monday night, The Kuku Kanuku bus is fun if you have never been to the island before. Juan Valdex coffee shop at Alahambra shops is a 5 minute walk and great coffee and light breakfast items with free wi-fi. Dushi Bagels is good too.

Divi Village stay

This resort had better value than the Palm Beach area...and the beach was better, really. Our friends actually came down to come to the Eagle Beach area. There were minor things broken in our room (closet door, fuzzy TV) and the staff didn't seem to care, but we were not really bothered. The room we had (a golf villa# was large/comfortable enough that we didn't care if they didn't. I sat on one of the room's verandas in the am sipping coffee and enjoying the warm weather in my pj's while my husband jogged the golf-cart path every day. Best thing - the full and completely equipt kitchen which kept costs down for bfast and lunch #totally affordable grocery store was within walking distance,# so we could dine out for dinner. We ate twice at the resort, once in the city and twice in Palm Beach #both an easy 10 minute bus ride). I would happily go back again.

Aruba was not as expensive as we expected. Grocery stores are easy to find. Get one of the booklets that are everywhere and find happy hour deals. Also, there are many restaraunts with not-so-early dinner specials served.
