Recently renovated Palm Beach strip spot with spa and fitness center
The Palm Beach strip location of the Brickell Bay Beach Club means it is surrounded by restaurants and night life, and is just a short walk to the beach. But there are plenty of wonderful ways to spend time on the property, too: a tropical fresh water pool, three restaurants and two bars (including a swim-up bar) make hanging out a simple task. The fitness center has new workout machines, and Botox treatments are available in the spa.
Highlights
  • Massages, manicures/pedicures, and Botox treatments in the Orchard Spa
  • Freshwater pool surrounded by native plants
  • Full menu served all day at Tomato Charlie's
  • Two bars in-house, and one is a swim-up
  • Marcel Water Sports activity desk on-site
  • Free nightly turn-down service
  • Free wireless Internet
  • Fresh fruit daily in each room
Rooms
Each of the 98 sun-drenched rooms or suites at the Brickell Bay Beach Club has been recently renovated. All of the rooms are decorated in dazzling white and sandy taupe colors, and have cool tile floors and flat-screen plasma TVs.
Dining
Spontaneous types will love the fact that breakfast for dinner is possible at Brickell Bay Beach Club, as the entire menu at Tomato Charlie's is served from 7 a.m. to midnight. Also on the property are Benihana and Hooters.  Mere seconds away are the Brazilian Steakhouse, Amazonia and Aqua Grill. Should any of these fail to please, take a short walk to Brickell Bay and choose from over 20 restaurants in that area.
Recreation
The Orchid Spa is a tranquil spot for massages, manicures/pedicures or a face-freezing Botox treatment. Brickell Bay Beach Club has a concierge who will negotiate plans with Marcel Water Sports, the in-house stop for parasailing or jet ski outings. The fitness center was recently updated with new recumbent bikes, elliptical machines and treadmills.

Middle of the road hotel

If you only want a place to sleep and shower and are on a budget, this is a good place for you. If you are going to spend a lot of time in your hotel and are a fan of personal service and amenities, not the place for you. It is a good location if you don't mind being across the street from the beach, but is an older property and shows its age. The staff was hit or miss - the front desk was not very friendly and actually took adavantage of us when booking an excursion. The maid and maintenance men were fantastic and helpful. The room is absolutely ordinary and the amenities are very scarce. We will probably look for somewhere else next visit, but not a terrible experience. Pros: price, location, quiet Cons: front desk staff, older property, few amenities

Decent Location

Prices better then the Large Hotels. Rooms are comfortable, recently updated by lack luxurious feel. The first two days there was only cool water in the shower, the desk told us "We don't have Hot Water", finally on the third we found a maintenance man who fixed the problem.

Nice for a two day stay

We extended our stay with two days at Brickell Bay. The place was lovely and clean, but needs more than one umbrella at the pool. The sun is so hot, you need to take cover in the shade and there was none. Room was very comfortable and clean. The directions to the safe were for the former safe, it had been replaced, but the directions had not. We had to call maintenance to show us how to open. All and all, we had a nice stay at Brickell Bay. The staff were very friendly and courteous.

Near Beach and Restaurants

While in Aruba we went snorkeling as well as took a jeep tour of the island. We rented the Jeep for about $100.00 and saw the whole island. We visited the California lighthouse, viewed the Natural Bridge and visited Baby Beach where you can rent equiptment for about $10.00 and do snorkeling. We laid out and had a great time. The Brickell Bay hotel is nice for the price. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Make sure to take bug spray and extra protection against the sun. Our trip was wonderful and we would re-visit Aruba again...the restaurants are wonderful and the most amazing place was the Flying Fishbone restaurant where we literally dined in the water....so beautifully romantic. We would also stay in this hotel again. Came home relaxed.

could be a great hotel

I normally travel for business, this trip combined some R&R with my wife. restricted on travel budget and high season in aruba. I read +/- comments on hotel but it came out to be okay and got a upgraded room, it's a hotel to sleep and layout at pool but no social enviroment or bar, only at pool and welcome free drink but what they want to give you! its ahotel okay for business travel or budget. good access to beach and location, center to all store, rest, shopping.recommed shop for a good car rental to move round or good bus system close to hotel. if management would be more commited could be a great hotel, it has the right elements
