Largest luxury resort on Palm Beach has hotel-within-a-hotel and casino

The Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino recently enjoyed a makeover worth $50 million. That resulted in the deluxe Stellaris Casino -- the largest in Aruba -- and the adults-only Tradewinds Club, which offers guests an intimate hotel within a hotel experience, with luxury amenities, and exclusive lounge and beach privileges. The hotel is a recipient of the Tripadvisor 2012 Certificate of Excellence award.

Rooms
The Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino has 411 spacious guest rooms with the largest balconies in all of Aruba. Rich red and mossy green colors decorate the room, and a key feature is the extra-restful beds, which have down comforters and pillows, custom duvets, and high thread count cotton linens. Kick back and watch cable on the 37-inch LCD flat-panel TV found in every room.
Dining

There is no need to leave the resort: fine dining at the Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino comes in many forms, and has garnered accolades from the critics. Eat buttery filets at Ruth's Chris Steak House, or nibble on sashimi at Ketsu Sushi Bar. La Vista has a themed, fresh buffet for casual meals, and Simply Fish offers seafood for dinner.

Recreation
A bi-level fitness club has complimentary classes, and plenty of cardiovascular equipment, free weights and yoga mats. Stellaris Casino is the largest on the island. Kids activities from arts and crafts to scavenger hunts can be arranged. Palm Beach is steps away, and towel service at the resort pool and sauna is free.

Marriott Stellaris

Upon arriving, no one was available to help with our bags. Our reservation did not reserve a King bed for us but, the staff was able to get us into a room with a King bed. They had a room ready for us, but because we wanted a King, we waited about one hour. The grounds are very nice. There are plenty of chairs around the pool. The wait staff are vey attentive. The beach is great. Our room had a good view of the ocean. It was very nicely appointed. For those who want a light breakfast, the first floor has a nice cafe/deli. The restaurants, while a little expensive, are good. The food portion is generous and the quality is good. The hotel is close to the mall which has other restaurants and movie theaters. This is a great place to stay if you want to sit and relax.

Euphoria!

I loved, loved, loved Aruba and the Marriott Stellaris hotel. Everyone was helpful and offered great excursion ideas. The only downside was that everything was kind of pricey and many shops outside of the resort didn't open until later in the day so you were dependent upon the amenities of the hotel. Aside from that, this was nothing short than paradise.

WOW Aruba!!!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Marriott April. The hotel amenities, staff and the beach were all breath taking. The safe in our room kept locking everyday so we had to have someone fix it everyday & that was a little annoying but it didnt ruin the trip. The island is small so the hotel was not tooo far from anything. The parking was free so that was great and we always found a close spot. Everything was very accessible. The casino was also fun for nightlife. Ironically enough the main pool with the swim up bar was not the adults pool. We utilized the main pool but it was also good to know they had an adults only pool. I would definately stay there again. Everyone was nice, weather was perfect. Thank you Aruba!

Aruba vacation

Room was kept clean all the time. Staff is nice and friendly. If you are Marriott reward member can have free Internet and wifi works in the room and all around hotel. On the other side, to get the spot at the pool or palapa on the beach you have to get up at 6am

Lovely but...no chaises avaiable and room view issue

Clean, friendly but error made on room and given construction view, 7 AM wake up from construction every day. No chaises available unless you got up super early and put a towel on one. Not enough shade. Still enjoyed. Hotel recognized mistake and compensated us however still had impact on vacation.

Worst possible experience

This was supposed to be a vacation instead 4 of 5 days that I stayed inthe lobby more than i was able to go out!!! first night i realize the lock does not work i make a stink insaid this is why x,y,z is gone! they disnt even offer to move us, one manager said what would u like me to do and intold her and inwas told shes follow up when she can see who she can move! so shes going to put someone else in there who could potentially have something of theirs taken as well! then when i make a huge stink they move us to a few floors up, well we move rooms and rmember this was suppose to be a vacation. the room they moved us to had a lock and guess what it didnt lock!! " coincidence" in unreal! They come to fix it , te take a piece of the lock out to shave or something and now it's 2 N they were suppose to be there at 11:45 nope we had to call again well wouldn't you know we then GET LOCkED IN yes you read that right,I called the front desk hollering!!! The engineer kicks"in door and i flyndownto front desk while my bf stayed upstairs with our belongings as we had something stolen from our room. The engineers said not to worry we may be here a bit and we weren't leaving any valuables in that second room with NO lock. If there was a fire, well.... Like insaid we ended up locked in all I wanted todo was feel safe and know my belongings were as well. Then a woman from Marriott walked in at 530 pm I was downstairs and my bf was in bed with food poisining and she walked in and said oh sorry he was startled why wouldn't she turn on a light to see where she's going when it's pitch black, why didn she knock? I could go on for days! Management doesn't care not sure if Marriott does either but I met 3 amazing staff members of theirs during my stay. Those 3 should be running that should be running this run down hotel they were great one named Andrea new manager another front desk Robert and nihalia in VIP sign up in casino. Not safe to walk to at night unless you'd like to walk down to dark alleys with no security around. Then when I say we need to be moved they said we could put you at Marriott surf club for an extra 536$ a night I almost dropped to the ground I said we have 2 days left and I know u moving us will not break Marriotts bank. Was totally insulted! They thought we would actually do this? Everything about this place is unacceptable!!! But RoY older man bell man is one amazing gentleman !!! Just stay far away folks.
