Relaxing

The Radisson Aruba Resort & Casino allows you to relax. From the well-kept, inviting gardens, the comfy, well-decorated rooms to the pristine sand and sparkling pools, you are invited to unwind. The service was helpful and efficient. Our request for a mini-fridge in the room received immediate attention--literally within 10 minutes a fridge arrived. Everyone seemed intent on being friendly and helpful. Indeed, friendly was an overall impression, which really aids in the feeling of getting away. If you are not a gambler, you need never know the casino was present except for a sign above the door. If you do gamble, the casino was presentable, without the surreal effect that casinos in Las Vegas tend to have. In Laguna, one of their restaurants, the staff was again friendly and efficent. The balcony in the room was a nice effect, allowing you to sip morning coffee and enjoy the Caribbean and the breezes. The colors were warmly tropical. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Radisson's location is excellent; there are restaurants and shopping within walking distance. After a full day, it was nice to stroll around and take in the sights and sounds. Also, there were several restaurants for breakfast and snacks, Salt and Pepper comes readily to mind, offering a sumptuous omelette and delicious tapas.

Beautiful grounds, fantastic location on Palm Beach

We just returned from an 11-day stay at the Radisson Aruba Resort. The Radisson has, by far, the best location on Palm Beach and the nicest beach area & grounds. The hotel staff (front desk, concierge, housekeeping) were all very friendly and accomodating throughout our stay. This was especially important because we were scheduled to leave the day Hurricane Felix passsed by the island. Our flight was cancelled, and the earliest flight we could get out was 4 days later. The hotel let us keep our deluxe ocean view room for the extra days at a significantly reduced rate. Unlike many high-rise hotels, there's no charge for palapas, and there are plenty to choose from. Many good restaurants are either a short walk or 5-minute cab ride away. You can easily walk to the other nearby high-rise hotels for gambling or dinner via the beach-side walkway. We loved the Radisson and would definitely stay there again.

Nightlife tip: Short walk from hotel

The best beach bar on Palm Beach is only a few steps away from the Radisson on DePalm Pier: the Bugaloe Beach Bar. The drinks are reasonable, the bartenders are super friendly, and there's live music every Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday. Happy hour is daily from 4-5:00. It's a can't-miss!

A great place to stay

The Radisson Aruba is centrally located in the high rise district, close to the other high rise hotels, and many restaurants. The beach is first-rate, very clean, and if you reserve a palapa for the next day, even more enjoyable. The gardens and grounds are lush and clean. the upkeep is fantastic. Lots of tropical birds, Iguanas, and geckos. The hotel has a curator who insures that the birds are in good health, and there are daily opportunities to interact with the birds. The hotel restaurants are convenient if somewhat pricey. You can get the same food, sometimes cheaper, sometimes more expensive at the other hotels, or on the main blvd. The main street offers a lot of dining options and you do not have to spend a lot of money. Our room had an ocean view and was always clean with lots of towels. A balcony was a nice place to view the sea. Ask for a higher floor. The pools are walk-in and are first rate. The hot tubs could use some refurbishing. The staff is pleasant and helpful and were sad to see us leave.

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

You can eat anywhere in Aruba and have a great meal. The restaurants in the hotel are convenient, but there are many less expensive options a short walk from the hotel. When staying in Aruba, splurge, make reservations (a must),and take a taxi to the Flying Fishbone for a sunset dinner-awesome !!!

Very Tropical

The atmosphere was very tropical with exotic birds in the lobby and around the lush grounds. The pool area was gorgeous and the beach area lovely. The mattress in the room was so comfortable and the bathroom was nice and large. We liked the area and being able to walk around to different restaurants and shops. The only problem we had was that we parked in the Hotel parking lot with our rental car and when we returned it to Avis, there were some scratches and a dent where someone had hit it in the parking lot. We did not notice until the Avis attendant pointed this out to us and we had to pay for it. If we had seen it before we left the Hotel, we would have shown them the damage, but we had to catch our plane and did not have time to go back. We saw some of the attendants driving very fast and reckless in the parking lot.

Excellent location

The staff was friendly except for one waiter at the Sunset Grill. Dinner there was excellent and expensive. I am ok with the cost, but should have friendly staff for that kind of money. Hotel and area are somewhat aged, but very well kept. Atmosphere was excellent. Gilligans manager was very nice and helpful. Location is perfectly placed in the middle of the highrise section.

Perfect for an intimate weekend

The Radisson Resort and spa could not have been better. The grounds of the hotel were impeccable and the staff were more then hospitable. We received a complimentary room upgrade which we were thrilled about and the amenities in our room high tech and the decor in the . All in all, we couldnt have been more satisfied!

Loved the Radisson Aruba

Just returned after an 8 day stay at the Radisson Aruba. Had a deluxe ocean view room in the Aruba tower. The room was well appointed and very clean. On the 4th floor you are just above the palm trees, so you don't get the best view of the ocean. Would recommend a higher floor. The Radisson is also set back quite a ways from the ocean, unlike some of the other hotels. The only complaint I have about the ocean view Aruba tower room is that we were directly above the Martini bar, like maybe 50 feet. At 10pm the band starts and goes on for a couple of hours, then the karaoke starts. Sounded like the band was playing on our balcony! Most nights this didn't bother us since we were up past midnight and had lots to drink. Nextdoor to the south, they are working on the massive Riu Palace. Construction starts early in the morning and continues until dark. You do not want to be in the Radisson building next to The Riu while the construction is going on. Rented a car for a few days. Went to Oranjstad, the other beaches, saw some ruins, the collapsed natural bridge, etc. Very impressed with the lack of poverty on the island. We ate at Madame Janet and Le Dome and both were fantastic. At the Radisson we ate at the Sunset Grille, my wifes favorite. Also ate at Gilligans a couple of times. The pool area and grounds of the Radisson are superior to any other hotel in the high rise area, in terms of size and landscaping. The free form pools were great. The palapa thing was funny. At 3pm there must have been 50 people already in line to reserve their palapa for the next day. I don't know what the big deal is about those things. I suppose if you hardly ever get to see an ocean, then it's a must. Gambled at all the high rise hotels. One more thing that I'd like to point out is that everywhere you go in Aruba, people were so friendly, and especially at the Radisson. Overall great time in Aruba. Am planning my next trip down there now.
