Much needed Vacation

This was a much needed vacation. It was my first time to Aruba and I will be coming back. We sat on the beautiful beach and ate at some of the best places in town. The weather was perfect and the humidity couldn't even put a damper on this vacation.

Picturesque Getaway

Arriving on our honeymoon we were greeted with a smile, friendly staff, and beautiful scenery. The first room we went into had double beds rather than a king but when we let them know we got an upgrade to a larger room. Meals at the hotel restaurants were great as was the bar right next to the beach. The hotel had some renovations going on but it was bareley noticable. Overall I would definately stay here again!

beautiful beach

The room was satisfactory once we finally got to our room which we had reserved. Ocean front would have been better instead of ocean view. Not the friendliest staff in the world. A beautiful location with a beautiful beach with just a short walk to great restaurants.

worth the trip!!!

We went here for our 25th anniversary. It was our first time to Aruba. We were a little disappointed at first due to the refurbishing of the middle building. This restricted access to the rest of the hotel for us. But, this was the begining of the "off" season so I guess this was the best time for them to do this. Other than that this trip was awesome. The location is perfect. The rooms were neat and clean, the pools were great and the beach service always kept our glasses full. Its in the middle of the high rise hotel group. Across the street are the new plaza's that are being built that had every type of dining experience possible, all within walking distance. From Hard Rock Cafe to Le Petite where you eat off of 600F paving stones, its all right there. It was a great trip, that have us longing to back already!!!

Wonderful island- Construction hotel

The open air veranda was very nice at the Radisson. The staff was very helpful. We did not have to wait for palpas. However, there was construction during our stay which made the walk to the beach and pool longer. We had to go all the way back to the front of the hotel to walk to the back to the beach. It was noisy during the day. We had a wonderful time at the Brazilian Steak House. When we go back we will stay at the Hyatt!

Money-saving tip: Short walk from hotel

Purchase drinks at local supermarket and take with you on beach. Pool service is very expensive. We went to De Palms private island for half day of snorkling. Half a day is a bit much if you do not have small children. The all inclusive drinks and food was not worth the price. I would suggest going for the couple of hours to the other De Palm snorkling location. DO NOT EAT AT cafe downtown Oranjested. The hamburger was frozen processed and did not taste like hamburger.

Radisson Aruba

The hotel was very nice. The resort is spread out so you walk a lot. One of the buildings, there are three, was closed for renovations so they are keeping the place up. The other two will be renovated as well. This resort is an older one so it has a very large beach. It is not cramped like a lot of the newer resorts. The staff was very nice too.

There is more nightlife down town away from the resort areas. Travel is safe by bus or taxi. Walking is safe too but it is a long walk
