great hotel
We've been to this hotel 10 years ago. Restaurants we were disappointed with. 2 times I ate breakfast and they screw up on my egg white omelet and gave me a regular. The second time they took forever and my husbands eggs got cold. Restaurants are pricey and not worth it. They need to revamp them. Otherwise room was great. Accept for bed and pillows. Hard bed and hard pillows. Very hard to sleep or I didn't sleep at all. Location is perfect. You are right on the strip which there's a Dublin donuts starucks. Great hotel but a few fix ins need to be done.

A Taste of Heaven
The hotel was just as pictured on brochure and even more so upon arrival. The Staff always available and always a smile on their face. The prices for food at the pool were a bit high, but hey its vacation. The one and only complaint I had and major to me was the distribution of beach seats and pool lounges. I am on vacation and find it outrageous that in order to secure the above you must be on line by 6:30 am to acquire good seating. I was on line one morning at 6:00 am and was already number 27 and didn't get the seats that I wanted. There are some free huts, have to stand in line and then there are those for $35 a day or you can rent an umbrella for $35 a day. This to me is too much work when I have travelled this far to be on vacation. I was told this exists at all of the resorts. The hotel and the staff are top notch and make you feel very comfortable. The towel issue, if you have patience, would work, but not for me.

Nice hotel, but don't get a standard room
Hyatt Regency is a nice hotel, but I would not say 5 starts. Lobby is tropical elegance. We were greeted at check in with a cool drink, which is a nice touch. The rooms are nicely furnished, new, and average size, however, standard rooms have a half sized (small window). We were not happy and requested an upgrade. They could only offer a rooms that were $225+ more per night due to the hotel hosting a group event. Needless to say we stayed in the room with the little window. Beyond that issue, the hotel's pool is not very big. The location is excellent (close to a lot of restaurants) and the beach is wonderful. Service was also good.

Stellar Location
The hotel is clean and beautiful with black swans gliding past your outdoor dining table. The beds are sumptuous. But the star of this show is the beach-- it's a long stretch of silky sand, and you feel safe walking its length alone. There are grass huts on the beach, but you need to get to the towel huts by 6:30 to grab one; they go quickly. Friendly staff will give you large towels and drag some lounge chairs over to said hut. There is a big hut if you get there too late. The pools sprawl and are great for families. My 10 year-old loved the slide. There's also an in-the-water pool bar with good drinks. The not-so-good: wifi is an extra $35 for the week. Dinner out at the hotel is VERY expensive-- and food was just okay. I'd strongly suggest Smokey Joes and Iguana Joes-- both are a short walk to the left as you face the street. Last, I requested a cot, and one was not provided. The hotel cited a fire code, but there was a cot in an identical room next to mine, so that left me feeling a big slighted. There's a mini-fridge in the room, but it's packed with purchasable stuff, and you're not allowed to put your own things in there. There is a mini-mart a short walk away for things like peanut butter and beer (essentials in my book!). There are lots of great places to have a drink at the hotel-- including a bar with giant bed-type seating. Great for flopping on after a hard day of lying on the beach. Oh, and there's a juice bar with yummy concoctions. While all food and drink at the hotel are expensive, you are able to charge everything to your room, which is convenient; no need to carry any cash with you. Most gratuities are included, but not all, so check the fine print on your tabs.

Paradise
We went to the Hyatt on the recommendation of a friend that travels worldwide. He highly recommended the Hyatt and we were not disappointed. The Hyatt and Aruba are perfect together. Words can not describe the beauty of this hotel and it's landscaping. From the coy ponds to the naural wild life to the pools and beach, I don't think you can ask for more. The restaurants in the hotel were great and the food was fresh with quick service. The only thing I thought was lacking was the absence of any type of music playing in the backround while you were at the beach or pool. Overall a great time at a great place!

Aruba RELAXATION
This was our fourth trip to Aruba, second time at the Hyatt. Location is terrific, central to the Palm Beach restaurants and shopping. The hotel/rooms were spotless, and well appointed (although not particularly "luxerious"). The staff was very attentive, always with a greeting and smile. A special call-out to the bell staff, and to the whole concierge team. Lot's of activities at, through, or nearby the hotel. They have a pier from which you can take a sunset or dinner cruise, or go snorkeling or scuba diving. The biggest problem is the WIFI. Don't waste your time or money. It's $10 per day for access, which is very slow and constantly being dropped. The Hyatt is the best hotel on the island!

Wonderful holiday getaway
My adult daughter and I were quite pleased with our recent stay at the Hyatt Regency. The facility and grounds are quite beautiful and comfortable. We wandered around a bit during our stay and visited the insides of various neighboring facilities in Palm Beach and we were convinced we were staying at the nicest.

Best hotel experience in Aruba!
Beautiful hotel with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a room with a partial ocean view and it was lovely. My only complaint would be the cold food at the breakfast buffet at the Palms restaurant. Your best breakfast buffet option is a freshly made omelette. I would definitely stay at the Hyatt Regency in Aruba again.

Nice place to stay
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. However, three restaurants were closed for refurbishment and this did present a problem. Had the hotel warned us, we may have stayed elsewhere. In addition, our air conditioning went off at 3 am and did not come back on until 10 am. The hotel did make amends by taking $100 off our bill. Additional internet service was intermittent at best and no in room movies either. The hotel really needs to update its electronics.
