Great vacation value

This is a older hotel. But we've been here before and will continue to stay here. The rooms are well kept. We like the Iquana pool side bar/grill. With late night kitchen operations. It nice getting a bite to eat even at midnight. The staff are very nice and ready to help with any need. Even the kids get to watch a family movie on the poolside movie screen after dark. We will be back! Thanks to the Staff!

best vacation ever

We arrived 3 hours before check in which was not a problem and I asked if we could be upgraded as we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and they could not have been any nicer to us. Everyone was friendly and helpful and I cannot wait to go back!

Single

The Holiday Inn in Aruba is undergoing renovations. They have a new manager and both customers and staff seem to like. The old Curaco Tower has been totally renovated and a new quiet pool has been added. Food is certainly better than before and I understand that a new chef will be onboard soon to make it even better. Staff as friendly and helpful. Location is the best. Safe for a person alone to travel.

Good for the week

Was good for the amount payed but would be way better if it had room service like the Hyatt where my friend stayed. The room keys didn't work one day but the problem got fixed in about an hour. Also the safe had a problem and staff came soon but they just wiped off the batteries and the same problem occurred so they came back again later that evening and fixed it. Overal it wasnt a bad stay but hotel could use another elevator or 2.

Wonderful, relaxing beach-friendly vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at Holiday Inn Resort. We had a wonderful oceanfront room which so close to beach and pool. Our room was well-sized, maintained and comfortable. The resort really does have the best beachfront area. I still can't believe how close and convenient it was. There were cabanas available every day and you could easily book water activities and excursions right on the beach. And no one was hassling you to purchase anything which I liked. The resort has the perfect location. It really is right there in Palm/Eagle Beach close to all the restaurants and shopping in walking distance. Oranjestad was only a short bus ride away if you wanted to do more shopping! I went with my boyfriend, sister and two teenage nieces and we all had an amazing time and would stay at the resort again. clean, well-maintained resort with such awesome location.

The location of this Holiday Inn is the best on Aruba. The beach here is larger than all the others. The rooms for an older resort are constantly being improved and my wife noted imparticular on this visit the comfort of the bed as well as the linens.Staffing like all the Aruban`s themselves is second to no one.

Aruba anniversary

This was our first time in Aruba and it was just beautiful. The holiday in staff was a bit more into their own conversations versus customer service. They chit chat a bit too much amongst each other rather than getting down to business. If you needed something the answer was always go to the store. Airtran lost our luggage and a sign in the room read if we needed toothbrush, toothpaste, comb etc. complimentary would be provided. Someone forgot to tell the lady running the consiers desk. My goodness just run to the store. Food at the Iguana grill was good as well as the drinks. Everything within walking distance. Was a good trip

2013 Vacation

Liked our stay very much. Few improvements: 1. sign in for huts at end of day is a hassle. 2. would like more entertainment - dance/music in evening; more shows (like resorts in Dominican Republic). Enjoyed daily newspaper, water aerobics, zumba, bingo.

slow and easy

The pace of the hotel staff was very slow. Slow being a good thing. I am not sure that I could learn to calm down enough to live in Aruva, even though the weather was perfect with no rain and the temperature 86 degrees daily. The Hotel was clean, friendly and had a great location. They did have something called an energy charge on the bill for 5.95/day which I thought was kind of questionable.

HI has largest beach area that I saw. The Tikis have more room around them than most however many were unsueable or under repair. I dont like the chairs. The back springs up when you sit in them. Hard to lay on stomach.
