About Million Dollar Quartet
Million Dollar Quartet, created by Colin Escott and Floy Mutrux, is a conceptually unique jukebox musical that centers around a single day's true events. On December 4th, 1956, rock and roll legends Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis gathered by chance in a famous studio at Sun Records in Memphis, Tennessee- playing songs together and recounting stories of their travels and adventures as rock and roll royalty. Featuring classic songs from the era including Blue Suede Shoes, Folsom Prison Blues, Matchbox, That's All Right, and My Babe among many others, Million Dollar Quartet is a thrilling jukebox musical about the jukebox era. First premiering in Florida and eventually making its way to Broadway in 2010, this true-story-inspired piece has since launched a nationwide tour and even broken box office records with its beloved mix of classic rock and roll storytelling and beloved songs from the era. The original Broadway run was nominated for several Tony Awards and received several accolades both for the musical and its original cast recording that was released in 2010. If you want to relive the glory days when rock and roll was new and fresh, there's no better way then by buying tickets to see the Million Dollar Quartet in all its glory- don't miss out on your chance to see music legends reborn onstage!
